Stutter/warning light mystery

Any help for the following would be welcome

My car is an F31 335d, up until today its been faultless

Whilst pulling away from stationary at a pretty relaxed pace - honest - it suddenly and briefly lost all momentum at something like 20mph with the flash of a yellow warning light bang in the middle of my dash just to the right of the '140' mark of my speedo

It only happened for a very, very small period of time, although the deceleration was enough for me to lurch forwards in the seat, and then carried on as normal

The road was dry and clean, I swear I wasnt mashing it either

The warning light is the biggest clue I suppose but it wasnt on for long enough for me to make sense of it, looking at the manual its likely to have been a DSC related one according to its position on the dash but as Ive said the road was absolutely fine, the wheels were pointed straight ahead and I wasnt hooning either.

Ive certainly activated DSC in other cars but not in a straight line at a modest throttle opening on a clean and dry road, and when I have they havent savagely cut the power either just feathered it

Any ideas?

Maybe there was a patch of diesel on the road and the traction control worked as it should ??

So its happening more frequently now and is definitely the traction control light
Its always from standstill and never when I give it the beans

It flickers for less than a second and often comes with hesitation like the car is being throttled back

Tyres are good and its usually on dry roads with the front wheels pointing straight ahead

Im not massively stressed as its in warranty with BMW recovery if necessary and goes back soon but am curious to know whats going on

Anyone???

My 640d did something similar recently.

For me it was the traction light.

Turned out my ns rear tyre was about 5psi too low.

Doesn't DTC work off the ABS sensors? It could be something as simple as an ABS sensor briefly reporting incorrect wheel rotation.

Maybe there is loads of stuff it could be that people had said but when he took his to the garage was going to be a big bill to fix it
