Today I bought a F30....
Just signed off on the spec of a new F30 for delivery in July.
BMW F30 318i Sport Saloon B38M 1.5i LCI - Automatic. Extras
This is my first ever car. I'm 28 for context. So also my first ever BMW. I am beside myself with excitement. |

That's going to be such a great handling car with a cracking spec, congratulations!
Many people overlook the lower power models but IMO I'd rather have this than a 320i purely for the handling, the turn-in must be fantastic on these!

Welcome !
Nice spec although like me you must be some sort of cleaning masochist chosing black, it looks fab but swirl marks will give you sleepless nights |

Congrats OP.When I was 28 I had a £150 Mk2 Escort estate. BTW the 1.5 3 banger performs much better than it has any right to. The same engine in the wife's Clubman is a peach.

Thanks for all the welcome messages, everyone. I test drove a 3 cylinder and was impressed with it. I was going to have to have some trade-off somewhere and to be the 3 cylinder was great and worth the money saving tbh.

I'm currently driving around in a 118i (3 cyl) and as much as I complain about it the performance isn't really that bad - you can do 60mph in 2nd! The economy is rather good and I'd say that your first car is a VERY nice first car. You'll love it.

Congratulations...that's a great first car. Mine was a clapped out old Chrysler Avenger. I realised how long ago that was when I saw that model in the Coventry Transport Museum last week.

That's the first car I drove after passing my test. I was my father inlaw's. I think he only lent it to me to get his daughter off the back of my 750 Yamaha.

Congratulations what a great first car! My first car was a nine year old purple Ford Escort! Thought I was cool because it was a 1.6 Ghia!
