Help on Map Updates

Got advice from here about update.car is 2017 318i BMW said they would try to enable map update as it has never updated and on 2/2017 maps. today I got a screen that I could not read as I was on a motorway It said I should restart the Idrive I think. I looked at map version, I am still on 2/2017 but 3/2017 has downloaded. how do install this or reset the idrive.

Best to go on BMW update manager on your PC and download the 2018-2 map to usb.
