Smile Best Lowering Springs for F30?

I am looking to get lowering springs for my 2013 335i xdrive. I have the m sport package but from what I hear that does not effect the suspension for the xdrive model. I want the car to be lower to get rid of some of the terrible xdrive gap in the fender but I also don’t want the car to ride like shit. I also want the suspension to stiffen up a little for better overall handling - the car is my daily so nothing too crazy, though. I’ve heard the dinan springs are a good option to not ruin the ride quality along with the dinan bump stops and the dinan shockware. However, I am not sure if it will lower the car enough on the xdrive model. If anyone has any pictures of their suspension set up on an xdrive i’d love to see it. Let me know what you guys think.

I have a 340i xdrive on Dinan Springs and bump stops with OEM dampers. I have been very pleased with it and was very pleasantly surprised by the ride quality. I was a bit worried about the quoted 30% increase in spring stiffness going into it because I have had lowered cars in the past that were way too harsh, but I wanted the less gap provided by the Dinans vs the Eibachs. For me it was absolutely the right choice.

Eibach springs are pretty much the go to option to lower your car a bit; pair them with koni special active for a sportier ride that is fine for daily driving.

I seem to have a car that is a bit harder to find lowering springs for. 2018 440iX Convertible with M-Sport package. Dinan specifically said they dont have springs that fit my car, Eibach does not list springs for it either. I have seen posts that people have put lowering springs for the Gran Coupe, but those have been one-offs and no follow up posts, or confirmation by others.

What are suggestions for this?

Thanks

If you want a very conservative drop, Dinan is the top option. If you want a more aggressive drop, get H&R.

I use H&R on my daily driver g82 and am pleased with the quality and result.

I have the dinan springs on my 2017 340i, the car is slightly stiffer but not too stiff. The chassis is much more stable, less back and forth between front and rear over multiple bumps.

I also added the Bilstein shocks, I have the adaptive suspension. This really tightens up the car, its not too harsh at all, super responsive.

Interesting on the Bilsteins. I had always heard they were really stiff riding. I am still on my OEM dampers, non adaptive. When they go bad I will probably try the Koni SA

The fronts have a little bit too much high speed bump force, so if you have very bumpy roads, its a bit stiff. The rears are not stiff in high speed bump. I have a fair amount of track experience and was talking to Bilstein engineers about the shocks, I would take out some high speed bump in the front and add some low speed rebound in the rears, the car still has a little understeer in it, the changes would free up the car a little and not be as stiff in bigger bumps in front on the street. I think the Dinans and the bilsteins are a great compromise package.
