F30 alarm arming how disable
Hi,
Do.anyone know way to disable alarm arming? I have problem with alarm since nearly two years. It started with random alarm going off. Then with time it started to trigger alarm as soon as it's been armed (less than minute after locking door). I managed that by changing time to self close within 10s so I just close car, unlock immediately and 10s later if no doors opened it close itself without triggering alarm. Car was on warranty where guys just charged me and said to go to official service as they see nothing. I connected computer and it say nothing more than LIN communication issue. I tested all sensors and all seems to be ok. Anyone know what would have to be disabled in bimmercode to disable that forever? |

Tbh I don't mind that much. I live in middle of nowhere with 60kms to closest city with more than 30k people.
If I'd know someone who would get this sorted for me I'd pay, but losing time with going from service to service isn't great for me. I have obd scanner with bimmercode and also yellow interface with software but I'm not very familiar with. I managed to perform test of sensors and history of alarm module but it say about LIN communication. I've no other electrical issues with car. There is information about aged battery but both has been replaced and cooded and it's still there. I've plan to replace sensor there on aux battery - will do at time of next service as I've part. Now car is anyway with no alarm since some two years. It's only problem when someone use my car and I forget to explain how it work. |

Does the alarm go off if you follow these steps:
1. Lock the car with the keyfob. 2. Between 2-4 seconds of locking the car, point the fob to the middle top of your windshield and lock again. 3. The car should make it clear you locked it again, and the red alarm LED will not blink inside the car. 4. Does the alarm still go off? For me, I have to do this every winter season. My in-cabin heater sets off the motion sensors and the alarm goes off if I don't do this. I asked here several years back if there is a way to disable the alarm completely, but nobody had an answer. The only way would be to disconnect the alarm but even then your lights would be flashing. |

I bet you could just VO code out $302 and it would probably make the car think there isn’t an alarm.

Regarding to closing car again after 2-4 seconds I'll test again as I don't remember for 100% but I think that's still alarm going off as this deactivate sensors while my alarm seems to be triggered by no LIN communication so I assume that it think that battery has been disconnected. 🤷‍♂️ |

2) but a cheap android device 3) download protool from bimmergeek’s (there’s a cost to license, maybe $80?) 4) remove the alarm from VO code and let the app calculate what modules to code and go ahead with the coding. 5)……. 6) profit |

Yelow enet cable + ethernet USB-c adapter can be used instead of buying wifi one? I assume that can as I seen photo of it in protocol website? I have this ethernet adapter and app on laptop (I used it to check alarm trigger history and to test sensors). I could connect that to android device. I found this tool and I'll get licence when I'll start work with. Thanks for advice! I didn't knew about that app before. I'll let you know once I'll go with that but not earlier than weekend as I'll have no time. |

It’s been some years but was t there someone who was having odd issues due to Lin bus errors, and it turned out ot be fixed, months and many visits later by unplugging the windscreen sensor, and mirror, making sure pins were fully seated in connectors, amd plugging them in again? Because it ended up being one had intermittent /poor connection and wac throwing the entire Lin bus into disarray.
Sorry, I read this thread at 3 am like 2-3 years ago while researching something else. But that’s what I recall of it. Edit: just as a workaround, iff you pop the hood it shouldn’t arm the alarm, right?

Workaround for now is closing doors and opening immediately without physical open. I've setup 10s delay to close itself if no doors opened and it close car with alarm disabled. 😅 |
