If you have no further problems and all checks out good when you bring it back, see if you can talk them into reconnecting the Dinan as a double check. If it is the unit, the weirdness should return shortly and then everyone involved will know for sure that the fault lies in the Dinan unit. This might help you when you raise the warranty issue with Dinan.
If you do decide that you want to give a Dinan tune another chance then your only option will be the new Elite V2 (D440-0122). They will no longer provide you with a replacement Stage 1 (D440-1650-ST1). The V2 has not been available for long enough to provide any customer experience or feedback, so if you go this way you are going to be a pioneer. Again, best of luck to you and let us know what happens.
Drove the car almost 300 miles with it disconnected. No issues whatsoever. Brought it back to dealership and left it for 3 days only to be told I now need to drive it another 400 miles with the DINAN connected, but in Bypass mode. I realize they're trying to nail it down, but feel like it's something to do with DINAN regardless of Bypass mode or not. What a ridiculous waste of my time.

I'm ready to ditch it at this point and go for a flash tune.

Dinan is trying to figure out if the fault lies in the wiring harness or the unit itself. They would much rather send you a new harness (if that's the problem) than a whole new unit. Your call, but if you ditch it, you may get an argument from Dinan about a full refund versus replacement of the faulty part. Check with them first.

I figured that was why and I'm still hopeful they'll fix it. Would rather keep it regardless of V1 or V2. So far I've driven 400+ miles and no faults in bypass. I have an appt next Thurs.

Got the car back and Dinan graciously swapped out the v1 for v2. Couldn't be happier. The v2 seems more responsive with no loss of power. I did add the CAI while I was at it, so maybe between the v2 + CAI I'm not noticing the derated HP. Regardless, I'm a happy camper.

Big shout out to Southpoint/Hendricks BMW in Durham, NC. GM, Service Manager, and Service Rep were stellar. These guys are die-hard Dinan and seem to have stock of most things. They pulled v2 and CAI off the shelf.

Just recently purchased a 440GC with MPPSK. Loving it so far. I'm wondering if anyone in here has the MPPSK with the Elite V2. This would solely be so I can have the Dinan warranty, and I'm not sure it will actually be worth it. Looking for opinions on anyone who has this combo. Thanks!

I'm curious if you ever got a reponse to your question. I have a 340i with MPPSK and Dinan CAI and love the increased power, acceleration and sound. I have just recently been reading about the Dinan Elite V2 and am also wondering what kind of driving experience, power and aceleration boost might be experienced from adding the V2 to the MPPSK/CAI combo.

I checked the link for the Dinantronics Elite at the start of the post and the link is dead. I checked the Dinan website and can find the unit nowhere. Is Dinan no longer selling these tunes that stack on top of the MPPSK?

The V1 kits have been discontinued and replaced by the V2 kits for nearly 2 years at this point.

Thanks for the updated. I picked up a 2017 340i with M Performance Packages I and II last month and started looking here and saw the lead went cold.

I took a look at your V2 kits and saw no mention of the MPPSK. Does the V2 stack on top of the MPPSK or not? Your dyno results showed a stock B58 with no MPPSK.

The charts on the website product page (https://www.dinancars.com/products/s...arts/D440-0122) that refer to the M240i is what you could expect out of the 340i w/ MPPSK.

Did you ever get this done?
I have a 2017 440ix, also with M performance packages I and II (believe this is MPPSK)? Looking at the Dinan website, I don't see any mentions of the Dinan tunes anyone spoke of in this thread.

I only see this:

PART# D900-B58-F-S1 = DINAN STAGE 1 PERFORMANCE ENGINE SOFTWARE - BMW B58 (M0) ENGINE - F22/F23/F30/F32/F33/F36 G01/G02/G11/G12/G30/G32
https://www.dinancars.com/products/s.../D900-B58-F-S1

Anyone have experience with it? I don't think it's the same version as the ones previously mentioned??

PS - I'm a rookie on here - patience appreciated!
