Does this exhaust retain the electronic valve? If not, what do we do with the valve connector?

Negative.

The valve motor remains relative to its factory location via the bracket seen on the driver's side tip outlet below:

Thanks. So basically I just leave the valve connector zip-tied somewhere and not use it right?

The valve motor can remain plugged in... the valve motor just won't be connected to a valve.

As I mentioned in the initial post... it has a catless downpipe equipped. I share videos of all configurations so those considering such configurations can have an idea beforehand

Josh - I realise why you post assorted configurations and applaud AWE for doing so, keep it up. I'm just giving you feedback that's all.

This sounds the business, AWE exhaust sounds much better IMHO with oem DP or sport cat DP.

Of course, my friend! The feedback is appreciated.

I completely agree with you on the DP. If an aftermarket DP comes into play, I lean towards catted 99.9% of the time.

Here's another clip with the stock DP:

I think if you do the catless DP, if you leave the midpipe stock it will take away that rasp.

Nice job guys!! System sounds great regardless of Cats or not. I actually think the decatted car sounded sexy as hell. My only apprehension is i wish it retained the stock valving. Having owned a few valved systems in previous cars, I love the dual personality of a valved system. And on these cars it's built in and Oem integrated, not sure why one would want to delete that function.

Any plans of offering a valved unit!?

May that option is too advanced for them to make.

Thanks for the kind words! We found it didn't need valves regarding tone and in-cabin acoustics thanks to our 180 Technology®. I do understand the love for the dual personality (e.g. our F8X SwitchPath™ Exhaust). Maybe we'll revisit it in the future .

Certainly not the case. We have multiple SwitchPath™ Exhausts in our catalog across all of the makes/platforms we manufacture for -- some of which utilize factory valving and other implement valves on otherwise valveless platforms where they're controlled by either a remote or button from within the cabin.
