I'm not looking to go crazy since the roads by me are terrible, but a bit stiffer would be nice. She's a 2013 328i xDrive M-Sport. |

Do you have stock runflat tires in 225/45-18? If so you can upgrade to non-runflats in 245/40-18 for great handling and much better ride on rough roads. Continental DWS06 Plus and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S4 all seasons are excellent choices. A lot of the vague feel in the front end and steering is due to the big fluid filled Upper Control Arms bushings. Swap out the Upper Control Arms for these Monoball UCA's. Huge improvement. Easily one of the best mods that I've done. https://www.kiesmotorsports.com/prod...8;_ss=r?aff=22 The stock springs and shocks are weak. A great replacement combination are Koni Special Active Shocks and Eibach springs. See photos. Great control and ride. They lower the front more than rear to eliminate some reverse rake. If you have Adaptive/EDC shocks then just swap in the Eibach springs. Hope this helps! |

As for the springs, good call on the non-equivalent lowering front to back. I hadn't noticed the reverse rake until I took a profile shot of my car the other day. Going all in with the controls arms and the shocks/struts seems like the way to go. And…my gf thought I was gonna buy her a new sofa with my Christmas bonus lol. |

I gave it a really hard look, but for f31 xdrive, the koni SA struts + bump stops + eibachs from the polish rally guy on eBay were within a couple Hundos of the KW Street comforts, so i did the KW. I can set it where I want it to sit… currently 1.5” down front and 1.0 down rear.

I was researching options for my F30 335i XDrive. Below is some data that I collected. My dampers are Koni Special Actives. The springs are Eibach XDrive springs (with -06 in part number) Spring Rate Comparison ————————————— Eibach Front 194/Rear 542 lbs/in KW Street Comfort Front 226/Rear 575 lbs/in KW V1,V2,V3 Front 226/Rear 630 lbs/in So the KWs are a bit stiffer than the Eibachs but not a huge difference. (By comparison the H&R's and Dinan's can be 30% stiffer than stock.) Basically comparing KW-SC spring rates to Eibach spring rates: Front +16%/Rear +6% Hope this helps! |
