Geirsen is the man even if he has a funny-sounding first name. We are going to be signing off over Thursday/Friday and the weekend, but this thread and our fitment guides are great resources to reference. We'll be back to it next week! Really good to see all of the 255/40-18 feedback on this thread as well.

Our Production team has done their best to make sure we have concave ARC-8 BMW fitments alongside our other designs in stock for the ongoing Black Friday sale and we are looking good on 18x9 ET30 and 18x9.5 ET35 inventory for now.

For those of you that appreciate some of our photoshoots, we have a thread live with photos of an F82 M4 on our all-new VS-5RS wheels. Click the image below to view that thread:

Although the fitment showcased is a bit more aggressive than what we recommend for the F3X Non-M, it does a great job of showcasing the designs overall on a newer F-chassis car. These wheels are available in our most popular F3X Non-M fitments right out of the gate (18x9 ET30 and 18x9.5 ET35) and currently have a Group Buy to support their release! They are significantly lighter than our Flow Formed ARC-8s size-for-size and offer improved brake clearance and inner lip strength to boot!

The wheels in the photo above are profile 3 VS-5RS while the 18x9 ET30 & 18x9.5 ET35 wheels will be profile 2. It's tough to convey the differences via text so hopefully, this helps show differences in their profiles:

Personally, I'm loving the profile 1 and 2 wheels which typically isn't the case. Let us know your thoughts!

As always let us know if you have questions about our new or older designs and please continue to post your setups and keep this thread full of additional fitment notes and on-car photos.

Hyper silver would of worked out great on the mineral grey also

Excuse the rubbish photos and filthy car. I planned on cleaning it up and getting some nicer shots, but ran out of time in the run up to Christmas, and then had to put the winters on it at the weekend, so these will have to do for now!

Went with the 19x9 ET28 ARC8 in Satin black, and 245/35/19 Continental DWS06+

The car is lowered on KW Street Comfort Coilovers, and I have zero clearance issues with this setup.

Used the fitment guide and tire recommendation on the Apex site and very happy with the fitment. It's exactly what I wanted.

Looking for some clarity here, did you mean ET28? We don't have a 19x9 ET38 in production that I know of. The wheels look great, loving this setup!

100% fat fingered that. Definitely Et28. sorry.

Thanks for the comments, the fitment guide and tire size recommendation on the APEX site made this the least worrisome aftermarket wheel/tire purchase I've ever made

Looking good! 9.5 ET43 works really well in the rear of these cars IMO.

Interested in 19in VS-5RS for my Mineral Gray F36 but not sure about which color to go with. Im worried that anthracite will blend in too much, Satin Black will hide the wheel details & Brushed Clear might be too stark of a contrast. It would be helpful if anyone could post some pictures with similar setups. Expert@ApexRaceParts

I went with Brushed Clear for my MG f30 in 18"...won't have them on for another month though. IMO anthracite matches MG too closely and black hides the nice design

Exactly! The group buy ends in on April 4th I think, so hopefully I can see your setup & others by then. I didn't realize how tough MG is when it comes to wheel colors.

This is a sick setup and what I am looking at doing with my 340i xdrive. How much have you lowered with the KW Street comfort setup? Why did you go with the 255/40 vs. the recommended 245/40? Any scraping or rubbing? And last, are those hyper black or anthracite? Seem a bit too dark to be the anthracite but can't quite tell.

Hi there,

As long as your 328D has the smaller non-Msport grey brakes, you can get away with a 17" setup without any issues. For a direct fit 17" setup, most folks will opt for the following fitment:

Front & Rear: 17x8.5” ET35 or ET40 (ARC-8) with 235/45-17 tires
Available in: ARC-8, ARC-8R, EC-7R
Does not clear 370mm M-Sport brakes.
Direct fit.
245/45-17 tires can also be used.

If you would like to check out some of our other F3X offerings, our chassis specific fitment guide can be found here: https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for the quick response. A couple of things.

- I do not see the 17 x 8.5 ET35 on your website.

- Could I run a 235/50/17 or a 245/50/17?

- Can you tell me the difference between ET35 and ET40. I do not need the wheel/tires to stick out past the fenders or rub...OEM or flushed is the best for me.

- Is there an advantage 18" vs 17" on these cars, tire choices etc. We bought this car to take advantage of the MPGs, do not want to ruin that, will be keeping suspension stock. We live out in the country and I have a well maintained gravel driveway. So the bigger the sidewall the better!

- Mine has the regular grey colored brake calipers. Is there a certain color/logos for the MSport brakes?

- Please provide details on the group buy.

- Do you have a link for new lug nuts?

Hi there,

1. the 17x8.5" ET35 is only available in our ARC-8R and EC-7R designs, while the 17x8.5" ET40 is available in our flow formed ARC-8 design. All are currently listed on our website for purchase.

2. No, those tire sizes are going to be too tall to be an ideal fit for the F3X chassis. 235/45-17 or 245/45-17 will be the best choice to stay within spec for overall rolling diameter.

3. The ET35 will sit 5mm further outboard compared to the ET40. Fitment for both of those wheels will be "OEM+". They will be a bit more flush than that factory wheels but not super aggressive like some of our other options for the F3X.

4. Smaller diameter wheels will be lighter in weight, which can help with performance. All of our tire recommendations are calculated to be within 3% of the factory overall rolling diameters, so you should not see any changes as far as drivability or fuel efficiency goes if you stick with our recommended sizes.

5. Msport brakes are blue and will be noticeably larger than the base grey brakes.

6. Unfortunately, we do not have any active Group Buys for these particular wheels at the moment.

7. You can find our BMW lug bolts via the following link: https://www.apexraceparts.com/store/...lug-bolts.html

The F3X will use M14x1.25mm thread pitch.

Hope this helps!

Here is a better look at the 19" VS-5RS wheels in brushed clear. This set is an aggressive square fitment that is still a direct fit while not requiring any spacers to fully fill out the factory wheel wells of the F3X 3 and 4 series.

Wheels: 19x9 ET30 VS-5RS in Brushed Clear Front & Rear
Tires: 245/35-19 Michelin PS4S

Thank you very much.

Do you happen to have a picture of the 17" wheel with the ET40 offset?
