Was I supposed to get a paper owners manual??

All that was in the trunk on delivery was a plastic wrapped packet. Assumed the manual was in there but just a few leaflets, warranty info and a ticket shaped piece of paper with some numbers on it?? Do I need more info from the manual to get bmw assist set up and such???

I got a paper manual for the car and a manual for the tech stuff.

I also got a separate info sheet for bmw assist with the temporary password the dealer setup for me.

He stuffed it all into the manual pouch/portfolio.

You got mine too? Mine was missing after ED. When I redelivered at the dealer I talked o no one but the lot guy and totally blanked on looking for the manual.

MY biggest concern is getting BMW assist set up so i can use those features like the google maps send to car and BMW connected stuff. Plus my car is a lease and they ding you for not having the manual on return.

It's in a nice leather binder, and there's a home for it at the right side of the trunk on top of the tools.

I heard BMW will stop making paper manual for 2016 but yeah you should have gotten one if yours is a 2014.

Yeah that's what you really want. The manual can be downloaded in PDF. But you want that BMWAssist sheet. If the dealer signed you up, you should be able to call them with the SOS button and get setup though.

I will be sure to check on that specifically as well. I'm hope it was an honest mistake but really ruins the day after delivery mood....

Do i sign up for BMW assist on bmwusa? or a separate site?

Ha I agree, wouldnt have cared except the lease return issue....

UPDATE:
Talked to my salesman today, hes mailing me one, I didnt even have to remind him about the upcoming survey he brought it up himself lol.

BMWassist seemed easy as pie, called them with the VIN, they said wait 24 hours then call the SOS button to finish setup

I have a 2015 435 vert and there is no pdf. They said to check back frequently. Don't hold your breath. Unbelievable that a pdf has not been published.

Both times I did ED they told me to take everything out of the car. Including the manuals.
