428i n20 Resonator Delete Question?

I have tried to search on the phone but struggling to find the right info.

I have 428i with MPE exhaust fitted. I was wondering if deleting the Res would increase the sound a little?

Will it drone with just a simple res delete? Will I loss any performance? Not looking to gain. Just for sound.

I know downpipe can be another route, but catted downpipes are pricey and dealing with CEL and jb4 is not top of the priority list at the moment.

Please share videos you have if any?.

Thanks KD

Link to my car:
Doesn't the secondary cat trigger any codes? CEL, I am not ready to buy tunes etc. Just a little more noise without p*sing off my neighbour and boss when I pull into work.

I didn't have any error codes. My car was completely stock except for the exhaust. When I needed my car to be quiet, I'd put my car in eco mode so the valves would close. It'll be loud when you want it to be, and quiet when you need it to be.

I have been trying to see where on the exhaust diagrams the secondary cat is.

Getting a res delete on Tuesday. Apparently if you have N26 you can replace the secondary using an AWE mid-pipe. I have an N20 though. (tempted to do a mid-pipe change)

Still a cheaper alternative to a catted down pipe if you are just looking for sound.

I'm going to feedback on the res delete after that, probably leave it a week before I record a clip.

I got my resonator delete today, I can already hear the difference louder in comfort, not sure if it needs much breaking in. However the pops and crackle are definitely more noticeable. I will try and upload a video if I can. I have not experienced any drone so far. I still have the MPE back box.

Future mods might be catted downpipe, intake and tune. But for now I'm good with this so far. Low cost but sweet.
