BMW thought about the dangle business, and now (on my 2015) the gas cap plugs into a little hole in the flap hinge. You can't close the flap without removing the cap first, and then you might as well screw it back down in place.

As for the racers to the light, yes. Do they think the light will be frightened by their charge into changing to green?

Clowns at my apartment complex put their plastic garbage bags on their trunks and drive over to the dumpster. There are dumpsters close to every building; it's not that long a walk, people.

Agreed . . . but I'd give Katy Perry or Nicole Kidman a pass, though.

Also, regarding door slamming:
I'm not a door slammer, and I'd probably say something if someone slammed my door, but do you guys think occasional door slamming would really cause any permanent damage?

My wife's car has soft close doors and I just close those normally. There seems to be a myth going around that soft close doors must be closed using the soft-close mechanism which is completely false based on how the mechanism works. Maybe the door slamming thing is based on the same type of misconception?

When you slam a door, you're evenly applying forces all around on a hinge capable of holding hundreds of pounds and a door latch capable of holding the door closed in a side impact collision. I feel like the most likely thing to be damaged would be loosened/buzzing interior trim pieces more than anything.
It's like slamming a door in your house. Nobody likes that.

Not to mention if you god forbid get into an accident and the airbag deploys the passengers knees will go through their face like a toothpick through cheese

Omg this! Dash, or crossing their feet... like I want you to be comfortable, but not in this manner.

Oh and this! Last summer my lady and I were going to a theme park, so she had lotion on. Guess what happened to my coral red interior

This sounds like a list gripes for ppl who like to baby their car. My bro in law isn't an enthusiast but most things listed here would annoy him. He still parks really far away from everyone even tho his car is a dime a dozen and over 8 years old.

Mine is being around ppl that speak like they know cars but they really don't.

-People telling me how uncomfortable my car is. (Drive your own car or hitch a ride with someone else.)
-Passengers that touch radio/climate control buttons.
-Kids. Nothing specific...just kids in general.

Slamming the door is probably my biggest peave.

I dont like when people ask me how much I paid for my car. I know they do not mean much harm by it, but I just find it weird unless I say "I got a great deal..etc."

People who move the sunshade down and it blocking my view.

People who touch my A/C

I have the soft close doors but that doesn't stop someone from slamming the door shut. I agree, door slamming is a huge annoyance.

Miss Linda keeps turning on her heated seat even when the outside temp is something like 80 F. I'm running the air to stay cool and she pops on a heated seat? Makes me want to disable that feature by coding, or pull the fuse.

I read about another one where a girl was doing this and the airbag deployed. Caved her whole forehead in

People telling me to slow down going into a turn or cloverleaf on-ramp. That's the whole point of owning one of these.

How is this possible? Isn't it motorized with the push of a button?

I mean, if you have a passenger, it's a bit rude to drive like that unless you know they'll get a kick out of it. I always take corners a bit more slowly and slip the clutch a bit more when I have a passenger. A 3 series isn't a Camaro.

F32 doesn't have it, F36 does. Either way, even for the cars that have it, I've seen people slam it without looking.
