Mineral grey F30 Sport to M sport OEM+

- UPDATE -
Haven't been update for a while.
Here's some upgrades I've done for the past few months.
There will be some performance upgrades coming soon (Intercooler / intake / remap)

Changed the interior roof line from beige to black, make it a true M sport.

Some minor details as well, Haman Kardon speaker cover and LCI B pillar ambient light.

Got a set of custom made 763M style rims.
OEM ones are too aggressive so I got a local shop to order a custom style and offset forged wheels.
I've also paired it with OEM floating caps.

Two rolling shots of my car with new wheels.

Hey guys, hello from Hong Kong. I've been browsing this forum for a long time even before I got my car,
got a lot of ideas just from browsing the threads.
Finally got my mineral grey F30 last year and I think it's time to share the progress of my 328i build.
The aim and direction of my mods are to keep the car as OEM as possible
because it's still my daily and I don't want to go too extreme.
Feel free to leave comments and tell me what you guys think!

Did the essentials in the first few months
Black grill
CF mirror caps
CF spoiler
335i OEM twin exhaust muffler
M sport body kit
441M style rims

Started some performance mods afterwards
Ultra Racing front strut bar
Eisenmann sport exhaust with 90mm tips
Wagner catted downpipe

Then I added some handling mods
19" Advan RSII
Bilstein B8 + H&R springs
OEM M3 LCA

A few months later changed rims to OEM M4 437M wheels
However, I think it looks a bit too aggressive.

After quite a few exterior mods had been done, I started modding the interior.
OEM piano black trim (took off the original sport line red trim)
OEM all weather mats
OEM M sport door sills
OEM M Performance pedals
OEM M3 steering wheels
OEM NBT EVO ID6
Ambient lights (OEM ones are too dark, I do recommend aftermarket ones cause they are way brighter)

Just when I thought I should take a break from modding. I bought something more.
335i front brake kit + 340mm slotted and dotted rotors
19" HRE FF04
KW V3 coilovers
(Reason I upgraded from Bilstein B8 to KW V3 is that B8's ride is too harsh for Hong Kong roads.
Might be better if I chose B8 with Eibach springs.
On the other hand, KW V3 is just perfect, it has a great balance between driving feedback and comfort.
Most importantly, you could adjust the hardness and height too! Worth the upgrade)

OEM LCI rear light
There's really nothing to say about it. JUST BUY IT.

There are still a few items haven't ticked off from my mod list. Stay tuned.

Awesome car and mods

Tip to another mod: Slightly tint rear lights and black out the rear reflector:

Awesome build.

Want to know did you change the idrive system and screen. If you did was it just plug in and play. No coding required.

Cause i am thinking of upgrading to a bigger screen but wanted to know if coding was required.

Thanks

Very nice work there sir! M Sport is definitely the best looking trim level. You've definitely spent a lot of coin with the upgrades/changes but it's a very clean and tastefully modded F30.

What % tint is that? I've considered this also on my F10 but don't wanna have real dark ones haha.

Love the look for the rear lights but what did you use to tint the reflector?

I don't know the %, it's the one called "DYNOshade" from STEK Automotive: https://www.stekautomotive.com/lpf - It's pretty light.

Thank you. The reflectors are painted black, ordered from IND: https://ind-distribution.com

I got it from a local dealer. You could get it on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-Ambient...sAAOSwJppc~NPD
Installation process: Depends on your car’s option, if your car already has ambient light (you could find it in your idrive setting: interior lighting)
If your car has it, then it’s just a plug in mod. Remove the door cards then remove your current door trim. Plug in the aftermarket one. Test it. Then good to go.

Yep, I upgraded the whole idrive system from CIC to EVO ID6.
Coding is needed. Not a plug in mod.
Check this video from Kies Motorsport.
https://youtu.be/Xla9mtiA188
If you just wanna upgrade for a bigger screen. You could actually purchase only the monitor if your car already has NBT system.
Depends on your car’s option / location. Might need some more components than just the screen and the idrive computer.
