Blew Up B58
So last night I was doing a pull and car misfired and went into limp mode, friend radio'd to me that the car was billowing smoke. Pulled over and found a ton of oil all over the engine bay, in the intake system, etc. Cyl 5 is completely dead and it switches off fuel injection right after it starts, no matter if I clear the codes. We already swapped coil and plug and the problem persists on Cyl 5 which leads me to believe it has low compression, possibly a cracked piston.

No solid numbers, but John Albers made 580whp on his Pure800 on 21psi. I was pushing 25-29psi. So if I had to guess somewhere in the mid-high 600's.

Off-topic, but do you have a sound clip of your exhaust with the catless dp and remus axleback? I was looking at that setup. Really sorry to hear about the engine though, that really sucks.

Oh my.. Looks like a cracked ringland and that is at least. Oil is there due to extreme amount of blow by gasses entering the intake pipe from the upper PCV hose.

Not good. You were pushing it very hard. Will you look to get a low mileage used engine?

Really sorry this happened to you. Now we know what the power limit is on the stock pistons, roughly. Hope you find a good used engine for cheap!

If it actually is only a ring it probably wouldn't be too bad of a rebuild. Get a scope in there to check the walls. I'm guessing the meth backfire that popped your intake manifold probably damaged a ring, then pushing it made it fully crack.
