330e bm3 burble
I just tuned my 330e b48 to bm3 stage 1. Its pretty crazy what stage 1 does and pretty happy with it. The only thing I can get to work is the burbles. I am on full stock exhaust and stock dp. Can i still get burbles tho with stock? I have it set to ots and it didnt change anything. So i change to custom and did not move any of the sliders. still no burbles... anyone know whats going on?

Hey guys, to revive this "older" post and get you an update. I've been having contact with BM3 support and I got the answer that the hybrids such as the 330e simply don't have a working solution for burbles through the "config" option for your maps in the BM3 application. This because there's a module in our cars that's "missing" which is calibrated through messing with burble settings. I think what is meant is the ASD module that we simply don't have. Allthough I was offered to get a custom map with burbles programmed in so I wonder if they actually will do something about this or just let it be as is since the hybrid audience maybe just isn't big enough. Will see, correct me if I'm wrong.

MG Flasher has burbles working for the 330e! You can turn them on and off through the app. Increase the intensity, duration, max and min rpm and min and max speed setting. They work in sport, sport plus, manual ( with paddles) and when the lever is pushed across to D/S
They have them disabled in comfort mode. |

Wow, and I actually thought back and forth between choosing the BM3 or MG Flasher. I’ve only heard good saying about BM3 and they’ve been out there for longer than MG but it’s kinda disappointing to see that the MG Flasher that’s way younger has this feature working out on the hybrid. I decided for BM3 at all for the CAT monitor delete and burbles. I didn’t want to run a tune just yet and I was told by BM3 sales support that you can modify burbles and CAT monitoring etc. on stock tunes and it works, no bad blood, but that there’s no way to get the burbles work with BM3 is sad. If MG Flasher can do it, why not BM3? I mean it’s prized as THE flash tuning platform out there, everyone knows what BM3 is. I hope they see that MG Flasher ha that feature and is even cheaper priced so they have a little bit of competition…

You got any info about if they're really at it or just "saying" that they are? I didn't get any confirmation out of the BM3 support staff so there's that. I kinda feel it was a waste to go for BM3 allthough I know that software/tune wise they're on the top but for me it was the burbles and CEL delete which made the decission. Kinda regret it now...

I think both bm3 and MG need to start doing more development on the B48 engine / tune. I don't believe the B48 has had a tenth of the development the B58 tune has had, including custom code

There was an earlier version during beta testing that worked but Halim mentioned that is not the right way to get burbles. There seems to be some tables missing to properly configure them which they are working on.

I'm on my 5th map now with testing burbles. Map 4 did get some burbles but only at standstill and they shortly after disappeared. Now I'm on Map 5 which was a setback cause now we're back to square one. So Halim is close on it... It's just not like with the others just playing around in custom settings getting gunshots n shit...

UPDATE:
So, I'm on testmap 6 by now and finally, there's progress...BUT... there's only burble while standstill and lifting off gas slowly, guiding the pedal to its resting position... now logs will be reviewed and we'll see what comes then. At least there's progress. I didn't go with MG Flasher since I never heard of it and saw no valid experiences on the net, and bootmod3 is just the bigger one in the game. |
