eibach pro-kit 5-22
it has better ride and lowers right above the recommended limit for the front axles. lowering x-drives too much puts more stress on the front axles and can cause them to fail or pop out. |

I'm contemplating lowering my car as well with the 02-22 rwd pro kit. Some info on springs is a bit confusing. Springs for my car advertise a 1 inch drop front and .6 rear from standard suspension, which in this case is the msport ride height, correct? So can I expect an actual drop of 1 inch front and .6 rear from my current stock setup...
@psjoe you can look up your springs at eibach dot com then use the part number to find them at numerous vendors..amz, ebay, ecs etc. Even eibach themselves sell their springs on their website. |

I too would recommend the Eibachs. Had them on my last F31 and will be putting them on my new F31. Ride was very good for lowering springs and wasn’t belly pan scraping low

Here is one more vote for the Eibach springs. I did the 05-22 kit on my 340i XDrive. For me the 06-22 kit was just not worth the effort as the drop was hardly noticeable so it was between the 05-22 and the 02-22 kits. For comfort and the ability to daily drive, 05-22 made sense for me but I still consider changing to the 02-22 kit for the clean look.
I had RWD springs on my E90 335i XDrive and never had issues with the axels up front. YMMV but that seems to be a pretty uncommon issue with the Eibach springs as they really aren't that low. |

Here is the Eibach thread I wrote up as I explored options. I love this set-up and is exactly what I wanted, which is an OEM+ look vs. the 4x4 factory ride height

With our xdrive systems, ride height comes higher than rwd models from factory. With the springs installed, I was barely able to fit two fingers in. It's a pretty good start to fixing the monster truck gap and lowering your car's center of gravity. I also didn't have to worry as much about driving up bumps at an angle to avoid scraping the underside of my car. Also, after you install the springs, it will take a little bit of time before it settles. Hope this helps! Here's a pic for reference |
