2018 340i Heat problem

Is it normal for your center console where cupholders and sport+ eco buttons are to be extremely hot at high speed. Currently have my 340i 2018 with 31,000 miles with MPPSK installed.

Simple check, ensure you are not running the rear heating. A few users with unusual heat in the center console have found that was the issue.

Maybe the HVAC is disconnected under the center console, so it's dumping heat in there?

Is the engine oil / coolant spiking too, or just the console is hot?

Did the problem surface near the time of the mppsk installation? If so, maybe some heat shielding was (improperly) removed?

Separately, has any of the button backlighting in the console area stopped working? On my old Tahoe, some of the backlights on the steering wheel buttons went out and the remaining buttons produced an alarming amount of heat until I replaced them all.

Just a couple long shots for ya. Good luck.

All lights working properly and I bought the car with the MPPSK installed already so I am just starting to feel the heat radiating in the center. Still troubleshooting over the weekend.

I'm with this idea. Reckon the OP needs compare some pictures of an unmodified car with his.

I have the mppsk on my 340 and the center console does not get especially hot, unless of course I forgot to put the front window shade up on sunny days in Louisiana between March and October. Joking aside I did not notice and increased heat inside the car when I added the mppsk. Good luck solving your issue.
