Looking for garage to retro fit paddles in Glasgow
Hi All, looking for recommendations for anyone/garage that can retro fit paddle shifters for my 2015 4 series. Watched some videos on Youtube and looks okay but I just know I will make an ar*e of it, thanks.

It's a really straight forward job. The trickiest bit if you can even call it tricky is removing the airbag. All in all it would take about 20 minutes for someone whos never attempted to remove the steering wheel before. I imagine a garage would charge atleast an hours labour.

If it was just taking the old wheel off and new one with paddles on and then recode it I would be cool with that, but then I need to buy a replacement steering wheel with paddles at around £250. Bimmer code/Carly reader £80 One of the videos I watched they guy was totally taking apart the steering, plastic surrounds etc to see if the car is already pre wired to take the paddles, then having to drill to mount the paddles, honestly I would make an ar*e of it. I am thinking, buy the paddles for £80 and then get a garage/auto electrician to fit them, prob come to about same price. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124407775...4AAOSwm1Nflm0E |

Oh so your car didn't come with any paddles. I misunderstood. You could pick up a second hand wheel with paddles quite cheap. Or if you plan on being in the NorthEast anytime soon (or Liverpool Monday-friday) I have bimmercode and I've got my old steering wheel with paddles you could have for like 150 though I think you'd need to buy the paddle brackets as I used them on my new m4 one

Hi WILLLowe, got your PM. What colour is the steering wheel and what condition is it, got a picture?
I will get paddles and have a go at it myself lol. I have work mates that live down your neck of the woods or I could PayPal and post up if not crazy for postage. |

If it's M Sport you definitely should be pre-wired. Should be a matter of attaching the paddles using a harness, and drilling holes in your steering wheel for the paddles. You will need the new back piece for your steering wheel though. This illustrates it perfectly:

I've dug it out today unfortunately when stuff was being moved around the garage a heavy box has been left on part of the wheel. I'm waiting to see if the marks come out naturally. I'll check next weekend
