I ate it without taking pics. I had smoked brisket tacos with pico, avocado lime ranch and spicy bbq sauce. Delicious doesn't quite describe it.

Not a single thing in this post resembled food to me. Perhaps my lack of travels in life can be attributed to this. I do not discount that it may have been delicious, but typically pictures of food make me want to eat, these made me want to wash the flowers and spruce tips out of the dishes, then fill them with seasoned meats.

Chile verde con sopa from last night. Could have used some hand-made flour tortillas, but there weren't any of those left over. . .

I've traveled a lot for work - I put a lot of things in my mouth while saying to myself "just swallow it, just swallow it" - sometimes I was 100% right and other times I am shocked to have found something I love.

I'm from the midwest, so it is VERY hard to beat a nice piece of beef on my plate, but I am glad I tried a lot of the crazy crap I did even if just to know what I like is really what I like - just not lack of experience.

I will admit however - I am not a "foodie". I have always had a slow metabolism and am rarely "hungry". Eating big meals can actually make me feel bad for a day if I over do it, so I'm not the right guy to fall all over a great meal.

The smell of a perfect steak has always perked my nose however......

I've gone to a place like that once on accident. It was expensive as hell and I left hungry. It is artful and admittedly impressive, I'm just personally not that avant-garde. To each his own though!

Dim Sum. Small, steamed, dumpling. The yellow things look like cookies.

Lunch for today. Salad, grilled chicken marinated in Italian dressing, tuna & wheat crackers. Macro-riffic

I'm cutting on 1400 calories a day. I'm always hungry and always looking forward to my next meal. I have to plan my meals a day in advance to keep the proteins fats and carb percentages right. Lots of damn work.

Putting a tortilla on the side of the bowl does NOT make it "t-soup"

If I threw some shrimp and sausage in a bowl, could I call it gumbo????

Expand your picture. It's chicken tortilla soup.

A great bagel place just opened a few blocks from my condo. This morning they didn't have whole-wheat toast, so I substituted white toast on my Taylor Ham (some call it pork roll) egg and cheese. Delicious. People from Jersey will understand.
