Nice! What oil you running? I’m thinking of running Motul 8100 but whatever you are running seems to do pretty well.

My latest oil change was Total 5W-30 and I immediately felt the engine run smoother (not a placebo effect). This was the first time my car received Total. Your report confirms to me that running the oil for 10k is totally fine (no pun intended). I still run mine 8k only because it falls midway into my 17k OCI on the CBS.

Without a doubt, I believe for me I'd do max 7500 just to be on the safer side so I can really get longer life throughout the lifespan of the engine and rack up miles like my Toyota corolla (165k and counting).

Got the car at 15k miles last year in March and been doing Total since about 18k miles and been FBO stage two more than a year with about (40k miles atleast if not more) and running strong and by no means I baby this car haha

I am just wondering what effect the 1 qt make-up oil had. At what mileage did you add that?

7,000 miles is about as far as I'd go on an oil change on these turbo BMWs. I've run a few UOAs on my M235 and my numbers essentially match up to the OP's. My M235 runs BMW LL 0W-30 and with ~6,000 miles, the oil gets close to falling out of its viscosity spec, but everything else is well within spec. Like the OP's UOA, the oil has maybe 1,000 miles before the viscosity is out of spec. Going any further is risky, IMO, if you drive hard and/or have power mods.

I wouldn't remember exactly but if I were to guess then at about 2k-2500 miles.

I will know for sure around this time when I add it and since I do my oil changes every 5k miles, it's usually right in the middle at about 2500 when i check and if it reads low, I add 1qt.

Yeah I think 7k is max but I know myself, I will still be going in around 5-6k, give myself basically about 1k extra miles before going in.

Nice report, I use the same Total Quartz 9000 energy 5w40 in my 2014 X1 N20 and the wife's 2013 535I. Your report confirms it's a stellar oil for usage in BMW turbo engines.
