Key FOB accent overlay sticker 'mod' lol

Hello~

I wasnt a fan of the blue accented keyfob I was stuck with and wanted something more neutral... since my car isnt blue (its white). Found an 8$ sticker/overlay solution from ebay. They have other colors too.

I am NOT associated or otherwise affiliated with the vendor.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/172136258731...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Arrived via USPS letter mail... assuming it doesnt come off quickly, I would definitely buy another one for my spare. maybe to color code them to, ill do one white maybe

I just put it on today so will update if it falls apart or w/e.

*observations*
Fitment isnt perfect 100% (but its pretty good coverage), there is a picture of where you can still see blue front certain angles. Only the truly OCD will care IMO.
The material is like a vinyl like substances, it isnt paper so you can sort of "work" stretch it slightly for coverage.
I used tweezers (eyebrow tweezers) to work/pull the tape since its a bit to small to really work by hands/fingers.

Cool find. I ordered a blue car, but if ever trade up to a Mineral Gray F80 (hypothetically of course, if my wife is listening), this will be helpful!

Colors were for 'lines', right? Red is/was Sport Line..thought Blue was Luxury..etc.

Pretty cool mod and you are correct about the key fobs being color coded.

Key Fob colors when F30 was introduced:
Blue: M-Sport
Red: Sport Line
Chrome: Luxury Line
Beige: Modern Line
Plain: Base Model (no Line)

Modern Line was discontinued for 2014 model year and beyond.

Modern Line was similar to Luxury Line but had different trim and wheel design. One of the biggest differences of Modern Line was the steering wheel, dash and instruments were finished in Oyster dark. Apparently the Modern Line wasn't that popular.

With the F30 LCI all lines have been discontinued. There's the base car, and you can add M Sport or Luxury package.

I have a Modern Line. The lighter color headliner/dash top opens the interior space up quite a bit. The tan speedo/tach take some getting used to. The tan fob still bothers me though.

This is the first picture I've seen with the oyster steering wheel with paddles. My car has the heated leather sports wheel but does not have paddles. Is it possible to retrofit the paddles in my current wheel?

Not necessarily, we just picked up my wife's 2016 328i and it's a sportline with red stitching on the steering wheel and red accents on key fob. It has this even though the car is Platinum Silver in color with Dark Oyster interior and stitching. :

No--MY16+ there are no more "Lines". Sport Line features are now standard, including sport seats, red accent fob, red hash marks on the gauges.

You can order the Luxury Pkg, or the M Sport Pkg; no longer "Lines", but essentially the same content.

The picture I used was a European model so it's possible they could be sports seats.

Probably could retrofit paddles but it would probably be expensive and require coding.

The coding I'm not worried about. I just wonder what I'd have to do hardware wise.

I believe there's a thread on this in the DIY forum. You will have to change the steering wheel for sure.

Nice find! Gotta check these out. On a side note, my M3 came with a Chrome FOB. Strange.
