does anyone have the droiduk mmi box and can comment on they're experience with it, any problems? 189 quid looks very reasonable so just want to double check before I pull the trigger.
there is also an option to add a reverse camera for 35 quid, what are opinions on this? worth it or not botherr?

Slightly off main topic

Fitted an android head unit to my car along with reverse camera upgrade - for the £35 it’s def worth it. Takes a bit of time to fit but I’d do it again.

Does it work seamlessly with the idrive system so still shows the radar screen too?

It does.

You can on the android head unit opt for radar , guide lines or both as in my case.

Picture quality is pretty good as well.

I did go for the box but left the reverse camera for now as I didn't think I would use it however I will be getting one now. think it will come in handy for getting close to bushes ect that the parking sensors throw a fit at.
it's free delivery either way so I wasn't losing out by waiting to get it afterwards
the box however is great, Google maps is a lot better than the standard GPS in my opinion. tune in radio again is great and it's nice to be able to play whatever you want on Spotify

Is it true you have to plug an aux lead into the aux connector for sound, replace default microphone and use the usb which comes with the mmi box?
Just some of the vids on YouTube looked that way
