That's kinda funny.

I've decided to add my wife as an additional driver, but that changed both drivers to her and I cannot change it back

Is everyone able to access the link? I tried the link posted but getting 404'd on any PC/Phone I have tried so far.

There is a cache issue with BMW.ca right now, but it should be fixed within the next hour or so.

In the mean time when you get the 404 error message if you hit refresh or back it should take you to the login screen.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I refreshed the page and attempted to go "back" but no cigar.

Nevertheless, I will check back in few days since I am not in rush. Just a bit excited to see the portal

Well I tried registering Connected Drive, and ended up on this page. I guess I need to contact my local dealer to finish the process? I can still log into the My BMW portal.

It happened to me. I assume you already registered your car for use with BMW Remote application. If this is correct then try to login with the userid/password you used when signed up for BMW Remote. It did work for me

Because of security concerns, you cannot register a new ConnectedDrive account if there is an existing account on file. Reason being is we need to validate the ownership change, which has to be done by a retailer.

If you have an existing Connecteddrive username that you use for the BMW Remote app, then you do not need to register. You simply use the same username and password from the remote app to log into the store.

Really nice to see this available. canadian33, I really like the fact that you are communicating it through this community.

Only problem I see is my car picture shown in the ConnectedDrive account is a Sport Line 340i with Estoril Blue. The "My BMW" account shows it correctly in M Sport with the right wheels, active LED headlights and all my other options.

Would be nice to see pricing of services even before the within 3 months of expiry in this portal. I personally have no idea how much it would be to renew my ConnectedDrive account.

Hi DrifterX

The ConnectedDrive portal is pulling the car images from a different database and we don't have VIN decoding for a option specific look.

Because of resource restrictions with the project, we went with the correct model and colour and not the VIN decoding. This is something that we will look to add a later point in time.

In terms of the pricing, this is something that we can look at adding or making visible even if the car is not eligible for a renewal with a future release or update. There were specific business rules that came into play as to when to show and not show pricing.

The Wi-Fi hotspot service is provided directly through AT&T. This is why when you renew it is done through the AT&T portal and also why we don't have any data related to bandwith or usage.

When we implement the new Connected app in 2018 we can look to see if this can be integrated into the app.

No news from ASAP but will Canadian users be able to download CarPlay like they can in the U.S.? I have no real interest in using it but if I could easily download it for whatever price BMW would charge, I would like to play around with the functionality.

If the CarPlay option is there, you can purchase it and it will be available in the vehicle.

You will need to unpair and re-pair your phone to enable to functionality.

Anyone know what the requirements are for CarPlay? I thought it would be available but I don't have the option and the only option I don't have for my car is the smartphone one and if I got that I would already have CarPlay and would not need to download it.

It's from factory configuration point of view - what options are required by factory to order/install Apple CarPlay.

BMW Canada can have different view on this.

BMW Canada can have different view on this.
Canada is simple: Smartphone Connectivity Package (requires Premium Package Enhanced which I have) hence my confusion. In the U.S. it's a bit different as they're more free with individual options so you have to see which options/packages are required to retrofit or add other options later but in Canada, we have everything pretty much bundled into packages so a lot more clear cut.
