The vehicle used was a 2016 340i with 40K miles. Nothing done to the car aside from oil changes. Original plugs, not gapped, no exhaust mods, and original intake.

After doing few street pulls in stock form, it was clear that the car is pulling timing due to some carbon build up and unknown/questionable batch of fuel as it was seen by nearly 30 knock counters per short run (acceptable is 0 - 4). So solution: a bit of E85. With that inside, all parameters in stock form were back to normal and car was dyno-worthy.

Here are the numbers put down in stock form: 294/325 wheel as per SAE correction. On WinPep7, STD correction showed 309whp, but WinPep8 has finally adapted SAE correction and now locks that as standard. With that in mind, stock 340i is rated at 320crank. Taking into account a 10-12% loss, that translates to roughly about 290whp, and that is exactly the numbers we got:

Now, we have ability to make a fully stock MPPSK flash work on Non-MPPSK car via some eeprom mods. So, since we have had a lot of MPPSK related questions, we opted out to building a MPPK car. The outcome is a MPPSK 340i, just without the sound/exhaust package. So a 340i MPPK.
Putting that car on a dyno showed a solid 331/352 wheel. That is a 37/27 wheel gain for just software/no exhaust, which is right where it supposed to be at the crank.

With base runs in hand, it was time to do some actual tuning. Remember, with MPPK already pushing limits of the stock exhaust, I didin't expect too much gains left on a table. But after few revisions, I clearly was wrong with my first impression. A stage 1 came out in at solid 65whp/36trq peak gain over stock, but with a much longer torque band that you can feel through the pull with 55-65 wheel torque gains until 5.5k :

Knowing there is more room on a table, we pushed the car even further. Keep in mind, this should only be used as a stage 2 option for all of you with high flow/catless exhaust system since back pressure is climbing a bit too high due to stock cat. But even though, with a bit higher back-pressure, the mighty B58 help up well and gave us solid 372whp/392wtrq, a 78whp/67wtrq gain over stock with 90wtrq gain over stock at 4K rpm. Compared to stage 1, the gain was 13whp/31wtrq. But dont forget, this stage 2 was tested on stage 1 vehicle with very restrictive exhaust. With proper exhaust the numbers will be closer to 400 wheel.

After having a well built stage 1 and 2 version, I just wanted to push the limits of stock hardware and see where that can take us. Raising up boost, relaxing knock control, more timing and many more modifications, we were able to squeeze out 382whp/407wtrq build. Reviewing logs, I can see that this is not something that should even be attempted for stock hardware daily drive, but could be a viable option for a FOB vehicle with minimum of 93octane.

Another graph showing Stock Vs MPPK VS Stg1:

And one more Stock vs Stg1 Vs Stg2

Take a look at the Stage 1 and Stage 2. Notice how smooth they both are compared to MPPK or even stock.

Here is a simplified datalog from today if someone is actually interested in seeing how the backend part runs. :

Let me rephrase that........ some individually verified dynos.

There's been a lot of forum members claiming things without any real data to back it up.

I saw the dynos from Mission performance within minutes of them being posted and they have been stellar with their side of things.

I'm not trying to be negative, I am just hoping for some data that comes from customers.

Post JB4 data logs..

Cant wait to see them!

Once I get clean datalogs and the car feels fast, I will probably dyno. But until then, all I can do is post logs and tell you how it feels.

But I'll tell you right now that the software fueling limits are completely gone

Just flashed revision 2 of Stage 2 and am actively logging with Alex. It's definitely faster than the factory MPPSK tune!

Be patient...nothing is going to happen immediately. Maybe revisions need to be made which adds time to the process as everyone needs to test out and drive there cars inbetween.

Plus, if it's great, you're going to want to go out and enjoy it, not post on a forum about it.

So you can coast along in traffic and rev-pop without shooting forwards and smashing into the car in front.

In a manual I'd just put the foot on the clutch to rev up but this doesn't allow that.
Exactly this! When you wanna drive up beside a friend and instead of honking at them, catch their attention by revving a bit without being a hundred feet ahead..
I was able to rev pop in park.

My 340i should be complete by end of day. I'm doing stage 2. I have intake, 4.5" downpipe and JB4. Hopefully I can tune the back end with JB4 in the future. Pretty anxious to see what the stage 2 is about though and do some pulls afterwards. Maybe just maybe I can break into 11s but I'm not holding my breath on that much difference. My best is 12.3@114. I will let u guys know how stage 2 pulls over JB4 though

Hello...I have same setup as you...Are you just going to Map 0 with this tune or removing the JB4 completely?

It's still on map 1 after tune. It hasn't given me issue thus far. It feels all tune right now. I wonder if it's advisable to go map 0 now or does it even matter. I will ultimately keep it on in case they come up with something in the future. Like these guys say, maybe I can apply the JB4 to the back end at some point.
I'm anxious to go to the track and do some pulls. I got some vicious exhaust pops for not having an exhaust and u can hear the turbo spool much clearer now than before, especially in sport mode that sound is addicting. I did a couple 45-100 pulls and it definitely uses more of the power band. It feels like it's redlining higher but I think it's cause it didn't pull as hard after 6k before. 20-80 pull and the increase of torque is evident. I'll post some numbers when I can get to the track, hopefully this Friday. Wondering if it's an 11 sec RWD car, it's definitely noticeably faster and sounds more aggressive. Bravo Alex on the tune though so far rave reviews I can't say a thing bad about it.

Good luck! I went 12.3 with intake/JB4, so hoping this Stage 2 in addition to the catless DP I’ve been sitting on for the last four months puts me into the 11”s as well. Then there’s always meth!

Thought I'd post just a quick snip. I have a stock '18 440i with the 8AT. I just swung by and had Alex install mFlasher. Without going into ALL OF THE DETAIL Alex spewed out (dude, you're a genius, and a freaking blessing to this community lol)...I can confirm that the software by Alex and MCM is in fact...beyond anything currently available on the market. Who knew BMW allowed so much knock? Greatly reduced, more power, CLEAN AND RELIABLE POWER DELIVERY, and also stock-like (BETTER) drivability.

Honestly, if you're not on this crack, I feel bad for what you're missing out on. PS - I find it quite an accomplishment. Alex, you're the man. Your programing (from scratch) is second to none. Your reputation proceeds you!

Hoping to eventually go ER DP's...and possibly a PS2 setup...IF we can figure out a better tuning/hardware solution.
