Hi there,

just finisht the installation and programming but stil have no view. Just a black screen with the buttons greyed out.
I think i need some more programming. Somebody who can solve the problem or give an excact description of what to programm?

Did you add "508" (can't have 507 and 508 together), 3AG and 5DL in your VO? Did you code the FEM, REM, HU_CIC/NBT, TRSVC, ICM, and PMA(if equipped) modules afterwards?

Run ISTA diagnostic and will give you a good sense of directions. Or just post the errors here and we can help you.

Do a search for ISTA on this forum and you should be able to download it and also find instructions on how to use it.

Yessss finaly. There was one setting which was not set correctly.

I actually just replied to your PM but here is what I wrote just incase someone else was wondering.

508 is front and rear PDC while 507 is just rear PDC and 3AG is reverse camera.

If you already have a reserver camera, 3AG (and technically you will also have 507 for rear pdc) will already be in your VO list. But if you don't, you will need to add 3AG for the reverse camera. For this retrofit to work, you need both the front and rear pdc which you will need to add 508 (but remove 507 if you already have the rear pdc only)

Reason why you only see 5DL being mentioned is b/c it depends on what options you already have on your car. Some ppl have reverse camera which will also have rear PDC. So their VO will already have 507 and 3AG. But someone elses car may not having anything and those two option code will be missing and needs to be added.

Has anyone managed to fit the newer surround view with the ICAM for 360 degree view? I’ve got the rear cam just seems a huge amount of hassle to fit the other cams and not even get a full view round the car (keep scraping the front bumper on things so this would be invaluable)

Hi guys,

I am still not sure... is it possible to retrofit Top View without the side view cameras in the bumper? Had those on my 2014 F32 and never used them. My new 2019 F32 has just Reverse Cam and Full PDC.

Or is there a way to code in just the Top View via FDL coding, so the other options for Side View are not set active?

First of all, so many thanks for all information here. That's really really great.

I decided to change my mirrors and add the top view. There's one thing I don't understand. Today I start the job, and .. regarding the HSD wire inside the door panel, you speak a lot about a wire buying on ebay - si I buy exactly the same of course :

“FAKRA HSD LVDS Straight Female to FAKRA HSD LVDS Right Angle Female Dacar 535 4-Core 1M”, with a pin chart of “1-4, 2-3, 3-2, 4-1”

But the issue is that it seems that we need to have straight female on both side, and not a right angle on one side, isn't it ?

No, you need right angle at the door connector. I did this retrofit on my f30 successfully just a month back.

And on the other side you use the dremel to modify the orientation, that's right ?

Ooh I'm so sorry. I didn't realize you're installing it on F25. Yes, looking at the connector you need a straight connector not right angle.

See if you can just swap the sides. Use the right angle connector inside the mirror and straight connector to door plug.

One more clue if you are following roxxor guide, he mentioned to rotate the HSD internal cable 90 degrees. That worked for right side mirror in my case but for left side, I got an error top view camera not connected in ISTA. Finally I had to rotate 270 degrees anti-clockwise to make it work. So my suggestion would be not to connect the mirror cable to door plug yet. Instead connect the internal HSD directly to mirror cable, complete your coding and make sure everything working fine. By now you will know the connector positions so you can avoid lot of dremel and door plug removal work.
