Been wondering how the 8At transmissions been holding up in general to modding.

In my search on the forum, i havent seen any major problems with modded cars having any issues with the trans.

I have only heard of one incident where a friend had both engine and transmission failure.
Only mod was the BMW Performance kit.
New engine and Transmission was covered by BMW 95%.

I've had no problem whatsoever.

Depends on the use case. If you're doing less than 20 second pulls with substantial powertrain modifications, you may be within the envelope.

However, I would imagine that if you're actually tracking the car and have substantial powertrain modifications, you could easily exceed the heat exchanger's capabilities on the ZF 8HP.

Fair enough.

I forgot to mention that my car has a +100 hp / +200Nm more than the one mentioned. We both track and USE the car fully more or less on a daily base.

The transmission isn't week on these cars.

(I run max. 18,8 psi at the the moment, daily).
