MPPK JB4 Dyno

As in recent posts I have also heard that the fix for the electronic wastegate is not right around the corner and the tuners have have a tough time with it. I do not want to get into the cost or pros and cons of PPK versus JB as they are pretty well know and it is personal preference - What I would like to find out if anyone has dynoed a N55 engine with the electronic wastegate on the JB tune and the PPK and exactly what the results are both HP and Torque.

It is my understanding that with the electronic wastegate with out a fix you will not get over 11.5 psi boost

Would the BMS Stage 1 (not JB4) take you to boost 11.5?

I think it's 12, it's 3psi over stock. With the electric solenoid folks, I'm not so sure how that impacts things.

Let me try this another way... I have the electric solenoid.

I know the JB4 will limit me to 11.5 boost, will the
BMS Stage 1 also at least get me to 11.5 boost.

If that's true, then I guess I'd just buy the Stage 1.

I do not believe the stage one works at all with as n55 2014 -just JB4 map 1 or 2 and again you are limited to about 11.5 PSI by the electronic wastegate

I have still not seen any posts where someone has actually dynoed the car with a electronic wastegate and either JB4 or PPK

Just a fyi - after doing research and checking several posted dyno runs on various dynos - then taking a average here is what as 335 auto N55 does totally stock at the rear wheels where it counts
293 HP 343 torque

Alltitude type of dyno temperture all can have some bearings but this is a darn good start point -

BMW has understated their flywheel HP and Torque based on these numbers as a 10 percent loss is really good and these nunbers show less that 3 percent on the advertised hp and torque

- No Way - my mustang had a 16 percent drop when it was stock ie 420 to 365HP) and with mods got it to about 13 percent drop to 410 rwhp

I am going to dyno my 2014 335 GT auto this weekend as now I am very curious will post results

Those sounds like MPPK numbers more than stock numbers for the F30.

Stock is more like high 260s - high 270s whp from what I've seen.

343 lb-ft AT THE WHEELS? No way that's the average wheel torque of a stock N55 (or even PPK)...

No sense debating the point I will dyno the car on a known dyno jet and post the results - I have been racing mustangs for a long time and this is my first try with a bmw (actually wife's car) so we shall see where it is when I start and when I get done with all the mods. Bottom line is what is the ET on the 1/4 mile before and after mods - better proof than all the dyno's around

The JB4 with the electronic solenoid is limited to around 12psi. The Stage1 will make 10-11psi. So you are still better off with the JB4. I'm sure BMS will add wastegate support eventually. Apparently it's fairly tricky.

You are better off getting the JB4, because once they figure out the wastegate thing it will probably be a feature for the Jb4 only not the JB

My friend who just install JB4 after MPPK told me that they both can stack.

His dyno is 480HP and 550 Torque

My JB4 map 2/no mppk has 391HP and 490 Torque

Our car is 2012 and 2014 MY F30 335i

So can anyone else confirm if they both really stack?

For those who think that BMW should honor warranty claims for cars with aftermarket parts, do you really think that an N55 engine can handle 480hp longterm? I know that my comment is an aside from the main thread, but come on, let's get real here.

No, and I don't buy those numbers either. The stock turbo can't flow nearly enough air to support that.

Lol I heard darker blinker fluid gives you 40 whp. And more efficient windshield wipers cut through air an decrease drag by about 200%. On high it's like 350%
I think his 480whp claim is a bit low needs to replace his air in tires with freon gas then maybe he'll hit 500.
