Hey, I am trying to retrofit a used 6WB cluster in my F30 2016 with 6WA. However I am having trouble with the coding. My VO build date is 1115.

From what I've read in the forums:
1. I need to delete 6WA in VO and add 6WB as an option.
2. Load the new FA in VCM tab, then calculate FP and write the new FA
3. Code HU_NBT and the new Dkombi ECU which is supposed to appear in the SVT



Passing through these steps I went to the coding tab to code Dkombi, however there is no Dkombi in the SVT tree but a Kombi ECU instead. I tried coding HU_NBT because I read that it should appear when coding it but it is still the same.



I searched more in the forums and read that I need to code ZBE3 with "Update VCM after TAL execution" option. Doing this made 5 ECU's vanish. "Kombi", and FLE modules.



Reading some more comments from Shawn I found out that maybe it could be an I-step issue, but my I-step apparently was updated before and is higher than 17-07 I think.

Whatever I do and try I can't make Dkombi to appear or the other modules that vanished. I tried injecting newer CAFD in HU, but then HU loses signal after coding.

Could there be an issue with the Build Date? I tried setting it to 1117. Went through the same steps again but still the same story.

The cluster was virginized and it immediately took the mileage from the old 6WA cluster. So I don't know what's up with that.

Any ideas what I could be missing?

HU showing no signal might be but to build date, the apix coding is not correct.
You can try manually adding the kombi and writing it to svt soll.

You should not write wrong fa in your car you can simple load new fa. When you connect new cluster and you read ecu 6WA will not be visible anymore. VO code any module in car(zbe) with "Update VCM after TAL execution" option and with original build date(1115). this will update your vcm and remove 6wa but 6wb should to be visible now if you read ecu. Build your new fa with 6wb(0717) and don`t write it to the car just inject cafd and vo code dkombi. Do this fdl coding

Sorry did you have any issue after VO code 6wb?
I can't find the cluster option after that
