F33 435i wheel choice, which are best?
I didn't get any response to my thread to ask if any owners have 20" wheels on their convertible so the ride must be too rubbish to contemplate.
So 19" it is, on a Melbourne Red car on Adaptive suspension, m Sport as per the first 2 pictures but which ones would you choose from the range available and have to be OEM, I've been bitten by reps so a no no. 400m - 1st pic, my current car, separate thread to follow on mods 403m 405m 437m if they fit 442m - 2nd pic and the only other red one I've seen in ages. 704m Which ones would you choose, I'm leaning on 442m at the moment...

Had these on my old F34 Luxury but I'm after a staggered setup. Suit the Luxury down to the ground 👍, nice car...

Staggered? The front tyres are 225s and the rears 255s, unless you mean something else.
I only wish the wheels looked as good now as they did four years ago when I bought the car. |

Sorry you are right, mine weren't staggered on the GT 👍 and yes mine needed refurbishing after over 100k...

OK not the same car but I would say 442m's but then I'm bias
Think they look better than 704M's as those seem to have a flat face and actually look like a smaller wheel by comparison, maybe down to the spoke design. 437M's are nice but the car would need to be lowered for them to sit within the arches properly, but plenty of people have done that. 405M's are 20" in the right offsets for the 3/4 series & 8" x 18" for winter set up only, but a pain to clean by comparison 403M's are good but are an older wheel style also a pain to clean. You could splash out on these though .. Hope it helps the decision a bit? |

Yes, the 442's do have something about them. Are there 2 types, one with a darker inside spoke?

Yes, Orbit grey - darker and Ferric grey - lighter (tending toward silver). I have a set of each, Orbit grey with my winter tyres on and the Ferric on the car with Summer tyres.

Papster1 , have a look here..... https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bm...ertible_alloys, not suggesting you buy new from here but it shows you all the options.
If you want 473M's just change the car to M4 & you can see the wheels available. |

For me the 624's suit a car with that has been lowered now I've seen that picture and with my red colour will make the gap stand out even further and the 704's, just cant make my mind up there so again leaning on the 442's but in Orbit grey now.
Thanks for all your opinions so far, really good info.....oh my MPPE is in the post coming tomorrow....now that's a no brainer.....excited 😁

Yep, arrived just now. I'll post another thread on the fitting on Monday 👍
I think I'm going to go for Orbit grey 442m 19's, the spoke contrast will go better with my Red, Black and Silver theme of the car.
