Lots of 328s for sale
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I haven't noticed this with other cars, is this based on the fact that a lot of people pre ordered the 328 and then they weren't happy with the 4 cylinder? The dealer i bought my car from had many 328i xdrive with super low miles for sale. Thoughts? |

This was the case with the E90 328 as well, I had found tons of demo, loaners, low mile turn ins in '10-11-12 as well. When a car is that popular, there are plenty available. There are far more 328s on dealer lots than 335s.

If you are selling 70,000 units in 9 months 1000 to 2000 could easily find themselves in the used car lots.

I hate the sound of this engine. I ordered the bms stage 1 and i might consider another exhaust, believe me leaving my 330xi behind was hard, i thought what the hell did i do...I really hope this car grows on me its beautiful and all...but even seeing so many for sale is a turn off..

Heard from my dealership owner that there is going to be a recall on a bunch of 328s due to engine issues (this could be old news). Might it be something to do with this?

Well for me - I just got a 328d - can't imagine giving this up - already drove 250 miles and not even half tank yet - averaging about 38mpg! Love it! Oh wait, it's the EBII color that makes it awesome! 😃

Loaner fleets get flipped between 8 and 15k miles.

Just test drive back-to-back with an N52 E90 .
But then it takes a different type of taste to appreciate a turbo feel over a high-revving 6. I came from an N54 (twinturbo six) E90, and I found this more impressive than most six-cylinder cars in the category (except the Infinitis). I think once you're used to low-rpm torquey feeling of a turbo, you get used to it and keep expecting that from all cars . Actually, I was surprised how good even the 320i felt. |

I was at the dealership today, and also noticed a lot more F series 328s, than 335s. I walked the dealership lot and only saw one 335xi. I was talking to a CA, and he said many customers are either buying out their E90s, or shopping other brands. The main criticism about the F series is, the steering is too light, the 4 cylinder engine, and it's too big.

I love my 328i sure the engine note at start up isn't great but I plan to fix this with an exhaust and intake. The way the engine goes in sport is just awesome. As for the steering I love it. It's light when I want it comfort/ecopro and heavy and sprt in sport sport +. It's the perfect car.

I agree with AMJAM. This four really rocks in the Sport mode. I keep wondering why I would spend 4 grand more for a 335. What am I missing? One more point. On trips in ECO mode I am averaging 35 mpg.

Yes the turbo is the way to go, before my 330 i owned a 2000 audi s4, biturbo, which i had chipped and done some work to it...
This morning while driving the car cold, i was thinking about your comments, and grinned, its a way to make it sound better! Have a great monday |

This is BMW's #1 selling model by a huge margin -- there is always going to be an ample supply of them available for purchase. What does "seeing so many for sale" have to do with your enjoyment of your car? I alternate between a base F30 328i and a loaded E90 335i M-Sport... and I love the F30. It's a damn nice ride, even with the mediocre exhaust note.
