Also tempted for Far Cry 4 for 11.99 on Steam - not quite up there with Fallout and Witcher, but for the money a great buy, also incredible graphics and meaty gunplay

If you're anything like me you'll think that and then 4 hours later you'll finally go to bed.

I managed to tear myself away after 1.5 hours!

Barely got anywhere though, there's so many side things to keep you busy, and excellent cut scenes!

Downloaded it this morning (handy having 150mb internet).

Will be playing it soon, just having a game or two of World of Warships.

However initial look at it is very good.

There's a lot to take in, it's a complex game but if you leave the tutorial on it holds your hand through it.

There's even an in-game card game called Gwent which is bloody hard to work out, I don't know what the point of it is yet! :

I played Witcher 2 and used to Skyrim, so hopefully should pick it up okay.

I do miss buying a game in a box for the big manuals you got

Thing I love about it is the amount of care that's gone into its production, so detailed and high quality.

Highly recommend upgrading the spells skill tree primarily, makes you an absolute beast. Also game is very rewarding on hard difficulty because it makes you use potions, spells and bombs etc. The combat system and monster lore is very deep.

My social life has suffered because of Witcher 3, but have now completed the main and the expansion quests, 72% completion and over a 100 hours dedicated (wasted) in December. I have played all 3 installments and this is one of the best franchises there. You can feel that the developers did care about delivering a great game and respected their customers. Though I'm biased cos I played the game in its original language as some things cannot be translated into English without losing the meaning. I would recommend this game to anyone who appreciates a good story.
