Advice on new ?17 440i.
My wife has been eyeing the 4 series for awhile and we went for a look several months ago. The dealer still has the car we looked at and I?m looking for advice on how to approach them on price. It?s decently equipped and aside from the lighter interior my wife loves it. The price has to be negotiable beings that they?ve had it for so long and it?s a ?17 model. Depending on leverage we would be willing to do a lease or finance (we?ve never done lease but it seems ideal as she drives less than 5 miles to/from work). Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes we have USAA. I?m not sure what you mean by conquest. Ideally we?d like to trade in her 2015 Accord coupe EXL-Nav (4 cyl 8,000 miles), it?s financed but not upside down by a long shot)

if you are a USAA customer and eligible for their insurance, you are entitled to a bmw incentive after negotiating your final price.

on a '17 that's been sitting it should be less than invoice. I'd say at least 10% off MSRP + incentives.

I spoke with the dealer and made arrangements to go speak with them this weekend. It turns out they?ve had this 440i for about a year so he said they definitely can come down in price. On top of any price reduction he said I can get the following discounts:
- $750 for loyalty - BMW financing is offering $3,000 off - USAA $500 discount I?m looking around the area at what comparable models are going for so I can have my numbers straight when we go talk.

For example, if you are looking at a 440i with an MSRP of $65k you can get an '18 for around $60k~ or less. I wouldn't consider an older one unless they are marking it down $10k+ before incentives but that is just my opinion. |

A MY17 had got to be roughly 10k off before incentives. |
