Will fuel nozzle fit a U.K. BMW?

Importing U.K. 440i in July and someone just raised this as a potential issue. Has anyone bought a EU 2017 BMW and managed to get the fuel nozzle to fit into the car in the USA?

If it won't fit does anyone know how I go about making it so it can? Can the receiver in the car be changed at a local BMW dealership for example?

Thanks.

I'd imagine it will work since I know US cars can fill up in the EU without any issue.

EU filler pipe:

USA filler pipe:

Interestingly, in the EU listing, there is an option for 'increased size fuel filler pipe': https://www.etkbmw.com/bmw/EN/search...66/16117244033

USA filler nozzle like I encountered: https://www.top5reviewed.com/wp-cont...1lYytWg5iL.jpg

Looks like the only difference is the spring. I know that our diesel nozzle is bigger than the petrol nozzle, but I didn't know that they were a different size over seas

The difference I noticed was the size of the pipe on the car. If someone in the US posted a photo of the filler pipe entrance on their car that would probably clear this up.
