Guys who went boot mod3 stage 2, what things started breaking?

So like the title says, guys who went stage 2 boot mod3 with fmic/chargepipes and downpipe, what if anything started to go on your car? I'm trying to decide if it is worth it to do in my daily driver

Edit:what proactive stuff should I do ahead of time On a 435 with 50000

I've had BM3 Stg 2 for 7 months now and so far I haven't had any unusual issues. However, I am noticing a strange scratching/grinding noise but only when i'm accelerating through a right turn. This has happened when I first got the work done to the car but went away for awhile so I didn't think anything of it. The drive ability of the car hasn't been affected as of yet. On the whole I'd say everything has been great.

NGK spark plugs gapped at what protuningfreaks recommends. I forgot off the top of my head. You can also do a GFB DV+ to be safe too.

If you haven't upgraded the charge pipe, that's a thing. One plastic doesn't do well with our post-mod turbo pressures. And, as they say, "while you are in there" you might want to upgrade the intercooler depending on ambient temps and future track visits.

The post asks for bm3 stage 2 users who have already upgraded those things, not what he should upgrade to go stage 2...

Oops. Sorry. The perils of reading stuff on a small phone screen.

I'm picking up my 2018 330i GT tomorrow (Monday). I am interested in a tune to get 50hp +/- and same or more torque. Trading in my M235i, so will miss the performance! I'm seeing several options out there. I'd want something reliable, not void my warranty, and proven. What are the best options?

I’m a big advocate of burger products, good track record and my experiences with them have been great but there’s several options out there and they all have their pros and cons so I would do my due dillegence on research before you make a decision. As far as warranty, if that is a major concern don’t tune period as it’s not worth the potential headache if you aren’t willing to pay to play in the event you have an issue. If a tune is found and can be linked for the reason of component failure it will not be covered by warranty. Most tune companies do not back your drivetrain only Dinan pretty much matches BMW warranty and that comes at a pretty steep price as well.

It’s always a risk when you tune despite what others may tell you. I will say however that I have had several tuned cars that have had zero issues. Reliability with most reputable tune companies you see on the forums is pretty great these days.

If you are going to tune your car, i recommend upgrading the charge pipe and maybe spark plugs.
