Warning light: "Chassis: Drive moderately"
I have the DHP and recently got 19" wheels in the factory staggered setup with the BMW TPMS installed with continental extremecontact dw tires. A week after I put them in, I got the warning light while driving "chassis: drive moderately." I got this light for the third time today. And if i shut the car for a few hours, the warning light goes away. Does anyone know what that means and how to stop it from happening?

Sounds like some sensor is not happy. I'd bring it to the dealer and see what they say.
Hooray electronics!

DHP probably has more sensors than your average suspension setup, so it could be that a suspension component was ruined. As long as the wheel and tire are intact, they'll likely replace it for free, as without any visible damage caused by negligent driving, it's almost guaranteed to be a defective suspension component.

Pretty vague error message. Could be coincidence, who knows, you pretty much have to take it in unless you have a OBD2 scan/clear tool.
My guess is it has something to do with the TPMS, but you'd think the message would be more specific. Maybe the wiring is just completely wrong and the car thinks something fell off. Oh well, dealer will be able to solve this mystery, good luck. |

Thanks for the help. I set an appointment to bring the car to the dealer on wednesday. Hopefully they wont wipe all of the coding I set up in the car. Will be a pain to redo all of the options again.

I got that code after trying to get out of a parking spot after a huge snowstorm. Took a solid hour to get my car out and I guess the car wasn't happy that I was revving the engine with the wheels slipping cause of traction control off and the car not moving.

Don't worry: it's a faulty sensor! They changed it a month ago and then all was perfect

I had the same warning light on my 750, under warranty, the dealer said they couldn't figure it out. they said maybe anew battery, got one, still got the message. it dissapeared for a bit, then after warranty came back. they said tough, didn't know but could start looking and try to figure out. I searched other blogs, and one said low steering fluid..I checked steering fluid, it was low, topped it up and its fixed.
Check all your fluids if you get this warning! |

I thought BMW used the EPS for the 750- therefore no fluid. Learn something new every day! |

I'm just trying to save F30 owners from spending endless hours searching for a power steering fluid reservoir that might as well be named Waldo.
