AFE Air Scoop AFE 54-12218

I'm going to fit an AFE Air scoop AFE 54-12218 to my car. And I'm looking for one at a decent price from a UK seller. The price for these vary a lot. Amazon have it for £50. Any other sellers that could be recommended and that have the item in stock?
Cheers

I got mine from ML Performance.
Be sure you buy the correct one for the correct side.
Also, mine didnt fit as easy as it was supposed to, I had to basically glue it.

Does it make sense for open air intakes like the AP? Thought they were already getting plenty of air from the grille

I also fitted this hot climate kit so it is a continuous duct from the aFe scoop through to the air box.

Mine is on the way.
I might try making a scoop myself. I have access to material to make one. Although it could be a bit fiddly with the location

It will get plenty if you have taken the blank plate off.

Fitted the intake pipe and grill today. Awkward little job. Top tip: to ease installation. Out the duct until billing water for 30 seconds or so. This will make it more pliable, and easier to install
Quick question regarding installation. The flange rubber section that is at the pass through hole. Does it sit on the radiator side or behind plastic, or closer to the headlight?

It should look like this once installed.

Took a fair amount of skin off my knuckles and fingers getting it into position.

I’ve gone slightly different , cold air feed behind the grill and then ducting up to the inlet above
The inlet can just be seen here

Mines a right bodge 😅
Only photo I've got, but I made my own mesh out of the original blanking plate.

Had a little time to kill today. So decided to make my own air scoop. Formed using aluminium sheeting and wrapped using some carbon film.
I'm pretty happy with the result.

I used the same aluminium sheeting to make two small brackets. I then used rivets to attach the brackets to the scoops top and bottom leading edge. I then used a self tapper to secure the top bracket. And a plastic rivet clip, similar to the clip supplied a with the afe air scoop. This secured the lower leading edge using the hole that was there. Again the same mounting point as the afe scoop.
I'm happy with the way out turned out a. And it seems to be well secure. I was going to paint it. But I thought the wrap would stand up a lot better to stone chips .

That's a neat install. I couldn't get away with a low air intake. With heavy rain where I live, there's a chance of hitting big puddles.
With the length of reinforced pipe. The wire rib would most likely disturb the air flowing to the air box. Would be best to have the air being channeled into the air box with a route as short as possible.

Thanks.
I found a 3D model of a similar scoop to the AFe scoop that I might not and 3D print....
