Anyone have this (Catted VRSF DP) set up with resonator delete. Thinking about pulling the trigger on this DP soon but might also want to consider resonator delete while I'm already underneath it.

Will resonator delete increase drone? I'm hoping to give it an extra "umph" of sound.

Resonator delete will increase the drone. If you want more sound get the catless DP + REMUS or Active Autowerke axle back

OK, well I went ahead and installed my Active Autowerks catted DP a while back, and while the fitment was not spot on as one would expect for something this pricey, no CEL - so far.

I just ordered my AA catted downpipe. Eager to see what it's like once on the car. I hope no CEL which is why I went with this brand from the XPH crew.

Been debating on this one for a while going to order soon and hopefully enjoy the sound. You think this with MPPSK would be too loud?

If you have a 340i as your profile suggests, this is the N55 section.

They never did, only a spacer can help with it but it's not 100% fool proof you still might get it sometimes. Best bet is to save up and get AA or HJS downpipe.

I switched from VRSF catted dp with a spacer to AA downpiepe 400 cell. It is honestly much better, no CEL at all, car don't smell anymore, and throttle is just as responsive. For anyone wondering, the stock cat is 600 cell but twice the length of any after market because it has a cat before the secondary o2 sensor and another cat after the second sensor, which makes any aftermarket dp much better flow than stock. I see some ppl debate between 200 cell vs 300 vs 400 cell. Honestly it doesn't matter, it's so much better flow than stock you would never be disappointed.

Pretty much. With a note that OEM DP is dual density i believe. One section has more than the other

One thing to add tho, the VRSF catted down pipe like the oem one, has two section cats, meaning one between the two O2 sensors and one after the secondary sensor. I believe those are both 200CPSI cats. HJS and AA Down pipes are single section, only one cat between the two sensors and that's it. So on paper, the VRSF with 200 count sounds like more flow than AA's 400, it is not the case. And I recently switched from VRSF's catted to AA catted, the throttle response is actually better on the AA one than VRSF, which is really surprising. Plus the AA does not have any smell at all, no CEL, EPA approved, it's a no brainer for me. The AA catted DP is 1lb lighter than stock. Anyway, shameless plug, selling my catted VRSF DP rn, pm me for info.

Fabspeed is the only 3.5" downpipe I'm aware of which does not trigger the check engine light.

Damn I wish they made one though. That HJS price high flow cat is big money now.
