Oil warning LOW after oil change??

I've got the warning light after an oil change and I did a measurement and it says add 1 liter. How is this possible? Can dealership has added the minimum oil? I kind of worried as I just bought the car 800 miles ago and they did the oil change in front of me... That's weird... I'll add oil asap but I hope there's no leak. Doesn't seems to tho!

Just added 1 quart and did a check for level. It's now on MAX level. Hope it won't come back in another 1000KMs.... Maybe dealership did not add quantity needed..

I would at least call them and have them make a note on your account that you noticed this. Dealership should have put enough oil in there. That’s what they do all day long.

If no sign of leakage in Engine bay or on the Belly Pan, more than likely under-serviced. Down a qt that quickly usually leaves a pretty obvious mess somewhere. Did you preform an oil level check after they had completed their oil change service and, if so, did it indicate full at the time? Definitely contact the service manager to record the event. I go down a qt (at most) in 7500 miles (my change interval) and I'm at 141,400 miles.

Was at Max line yesterday. Now a bit less than Max line. Is it normal? I’d say 1/4 of Min/Max distance... Maybe it didn’t read correctly yesterday or it used a bit of the quart I added.. I don’t understand and i’m kinda scared

Found out my oil cap wasn't tighten enough.. I didn't know it has to "click" when it was fully secured. I wiped some oil around and will check later. I think oil came out of the cap.. Is this a possibility?

There was some oil too around cap when I bought it and if I remember the position of the cap, it wasn't like it should. I guess all this quart came out of the engine from the oil cap. That would make sens to me.

A qt is a lot of oil so I don't think it all came out there or you would notice.

Check again in a few days I guess. Did you call the dealer yet?

Well I don't know if they added the correct quantity but I saw that maybe 200ml of my 946ml came out since yesterday and there was no oil around my cap. There was some 30 mins ago so I guess it came out from there..

Even 100ml coming out of the cap would make a huge mess.
