no, that's a whole different procedure, also you 99% have regular NBT, not ID4 in your 14 F30.

no, that's a whole different procedure, also you 99% have regular NBT, not ID4 in your 14 F30.

I know it had a nbt id4 I have a 15 f30 that had the same thing that I retrofitted a nbt evo id6 in but I bought it plug and play for 1.4k I don't wanna go down that route again, so is it possible I can find a nbt like the one you used and use your tutorial and retrofit it?

You'll need either a bench or an OABR to RJ45 cable since a 2015 335i wouldn't be wired for that.

These steps only apply to 2016 2,3 and 4 series vehicles.

can't you read? it is clearly said in the video, that THIS PART IS NOT MANDATORY, it is just my personal preference.

did lots of these conversions and not a single one bricked. you are risking to brick it just by flashing, even without clearing V850.

Hello Rulenormaliai,

I was wondering if you could help me. I am thinking of updating my headunit from id4 to id5 so that I can get Apple CarPlay .. My question is …in your video ….once the headunit flash had completed and you got the black screen on your headunit displaying a message saying “No Signal”. I am aware that you have to code in the values for APIX/COLOR/MODE using launcher pro to fix this. However what I want to know is that , will I be able to code in these values without any issues or will my VO be locked just like how yours. Thank you in advance!

Would one still experience the unit rebooting or freezing up once in awhile because of the 2GB ram limitation?

Hi, if we don't do clear v850, whats the possible repercussions? Also, if we don't do Clear v850, will we still need to do VO coding fix?
