Leather issue

Has any experienced this with their leather? If so what did you use to clean it up or even fix it?
When i got my car back in September it was already there but now its just getting worse and i hate for my hole door panel to look like that. Any help would be appreciated.

I have something similar. I rest my left arm there and where my elbow sits it's just turned black. It's not dirty just dye came off for no reason. Any time I clean it just red dye comes off.

I would go to a leather specialist in your area and see what they recommend. You'll need professional help to remedy that, but I would not touch it with any cleaning products whatsoever. F30 quality in general is very poor.

That looks like normal wear and tear unless you're using abrasive cleaning methods/products. Leather is painted.

Use a leather conditioner of choice to smooth it out if there many rough edges. Nothing too strong and certainly not a leather cleaner. Only a pea sized amount. Nothing too greasy that leaves a sheen.

Dry it. Air dry or pat dry with a small towel / lint free cloth.

Paint it. Lot's of leather paints out there. If you cannot find the right one then you can mix and make your own. A common leather repair kit will come with a handful of paints so you can mix and make one to match. Test on an inconspicuous area to ensure it matches.

Allow to dry. Seal it.

It's so easy to DIY this one.

That was dyed/painted.

Look at the bottom of the window switch plastic, there is overspray on it.

I agree that you'll need a professional to remove the remainder and redye/paint

I agree that it looks like someone painted and didn't do a very good job doing it. You can see the paint on the power window button. What year/model BMW is it?

yeah it seams like it was painted over, not a good job tho... i'm not sure you can fix that with any product... if you're in luck maybe find the part from a dismantled car or find a leather specialist who can replace the leather.

saw some videos on YT, not sure if it works:

best of luck
