Thanks!
Not trying to hijack your thread - but just thought it may be helpful to those searching based on the title. Spent a looooong time trolling here looking at wheel combo's before my purchase. On mine - Front: 19x8.5 +35 Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position 225/40 Rear: 19x9.5 +40 Same but 255/35 Stock 335i M-sport suspension ~1000 miles so far and no issues. |

Really need a set of 19" black glossy 473m reps for my winter set. with some Michelin Alpin tires. Staggered. Can one steer me right?
Here's my car. I live in North Carolina an so snow and ice shouldn't be a issue but I have a staggered setup with summer tires and Rwd. Help. |

Looks fantastic. Thanks for the great angles. I am close to pulling the trigger on 405M forged 20" wheels but maybe these are the route to go. I've always loved the current M3/M4 wheel design. I do fear the 'replica' aspect and durability. I've owned replica wheels before and they were OK but it seems to be more of a "luck of the draw" situation.
Are you happy with the tire sizes you chose? I would think 235/40 F 265/35 R would better match the added wheel width but your setup looks good. I wouldn't want a stretched tire look. Do you have any more shots from the side (other than the one you posted above)? OEMconcept - what finish are these available in? Do you offer the gloss black/machined look? What I've seen is more of a satin black/machined. |

I thought about those tire sizes, but the selection/prices weren't fantastic (at least on Tirerack). For me - the rears are perfect. The fronts are "slightly" stretched, but only appear so from certain angles. Overall I would choose them again.
I've never purchased replica wheels and agree with your opinion. I just really like the design of the wheel. I was somewhat reserved, but I don't track my car & my daily commute is 9 miles. I thought I might as well give the replicas a try. After purposely finding some decent potholes - so far so good. Keep in mind this is NC - the winters are warm & the roads are respectable. |

@platty,
Perfect setup. With each photo you post I'm moving further and further from the 405M setup I was targeting, but am still considering both. My biggest reservation is the replica aspect. The price certainly helps get over that. Did you buy a full setup or have the pieces shipped to a tire shop and the TPMS swapped over locally? Thanks again for the info and photos. Really sweet setup. |
