Answers to these questions will give you an idea if you've been targeted or if it was just knob-end jealousy.

Either way, feel for you - not a nice thing to happen.
There's a few 2017-2018 cars, but mine was the most expensive. Insurance company confirmed they tried to access the car in other ways before smashing the window. I think they didn't target me, but the car. I literally just moved and had to leave for a week. Nobody knows me in the area. They just saw the car hadn't been moved for a week and decided why the hell not.

Hello mate. Looking at your post about moving in / then having to go straight to the airport its obvious the local yobbos had little idea it belonged to a local resident... I notice a Merc in your picture, is that a school on the right ?

Under these circumstances I'd think twice about parking the same car there, or anything of value.....when you get it back park it down the road under a streetlight or something until you work out the local 'demographics' if you get my meaning...

I know what you're saying. Yes, that is a school. I think I'll stick to the parking bays as i have a camera with digital zoom, at 4x, pointed at the bays. That way, is someone does try something I'll get his face on cam pretty clearly. And if they drive here, I'll get the reg
The kid that approached me and his 2-3 friends seem to be the only trouble around here. Otherwise nice neighborhood.

Well obviously.

However rate of thefts in and around Birmingham, it's not far off it.

If it was a fiesta it would be more accurate.

That's why I asked. I used to park in a communal parking area. It could get very bitter and twisted at times. But never on that level. Have you had female issues ?

Wonder it it’s part on the new post World Cup trend of jumping on cars.

I believe selly oaks a decent enough area with a relatively high student population- post drink jinks perhaps?

Either way feel your pain.

I've been to that school several times for work, I'd class that area as Weoley Castle? And it's rough as anything, at least when I've been driving round during the daytime.

Very sorry to see what's happened OP - but I didn't feel comfortable leaving my company Golf parked in those very spaces, let alone a 340i. Hope it gets sorted one way or another anyway.

If it is the parking area at the end of Princethorpe Road the houses appear quite well set back from the road. The streetview is quite interesting, I'm trying to work out if those lads are stripping that Audi or simply changing the rear brake shoes.

I'd probably park any replacement vehicle further down the road where it would be better overlooked.

They look a little young to own an Audi and when was the last time you chose to replace wheels and the interior at the same time!

I have to say it's a horrible thing to happen, even more so right on your doorstep just after moving in. I wouldn't sleep easy knowing that my car was parked outside after that.

Out of interest are you renting your accommodation or have you bought? If rented then it's obviously easier to move again. Hoping that you've rented.

Looks like there's all sorts of things going on down there. June 18 looks particularly exciting.

Not a decent car in sight. I wouldn't be parking a £40+K car there.

This sounds harsh but if I were you I'd get rid of the 340i and go for something more mainstream until you can manage to move to a nicer area. I think you are just asking for trouble parking a £40k car there.
