Replacement drivers side fog light
Hi all,
Just noticed the drivers side fog light has a damaged / crack lens (probably a stone impact) I am guessing the whole unit will need to be replaced I can get a new OEM unit for £126.65 including VAT and delivery anybody suggest a cheaper solution (new, not keen on second hand off eBay)? Car: 66 Plate 4 series coupe 440i Also, will this be a bumper off job or can i do it through the lamp replacement hole? Thanks

I also looked at this when mine cracked on the last car and ended up with OEM, although I didn't actually fit is as sold the car and got a re fund.
I would have thought that you could remove the inner wheel arch liner and gain access to it from there, but didn't try it so can't confirm but seems logical. Suggest that you buy some Lamin-x https://funkmotorsport.com/product/lamin-x/ and apply to the new and existing to prevent it happening again. It's a bit tricky when insitu but can be done with care. |

Did my passenger one back in June. Had to replace the horns as both had stopped working so did it at the same time. Wheels off and inner arches out to get to them. Drivers side one looks a bit more work though as there's an oil cooler in the way on mine. Guess it depends on engine.
Got the light from the forum classifieds second hand but OEM

Both my fog lights have been replaced over the years. I just used cheap £30 eBay ones and they've help up just fine. Although worth noting my car is pre lci so not sure if the lci eBay fogs would be a good idea.
