Glove Box Soft Open

Hello,

My glove open doesn't "soft open" anymore. I'm not sure why all of a sudden it just flops down now. Anyone know how to fix this? Any pics and detailed steps for repair would be appreciated!

I think there is a "shock" that connects to it, maybe it just disconnected?
