Rear brake light bulbs

Hi,

Has anyone replaced the rear brake lights before? Seems easy.

Realoem mentions H21W bulbs but a quick search seems to suggest that the f30 are using p21W.

Thanks!

Mine were H21W, which I replaced with LED. F34 and F30 don't use all the same bulbs.

It's not a difficult job but be mindful when removing the bulb cradle. The tabs are very easy to break off, especially if you're doing the task in cold weather.

This is very helpful!

Does it require any coding when replacing with LED? Is it just brighter or? If so, may need to change both sides.

Possible to share the link if you still have it?

LED are brighter and react faster. Coding is always required with LED. I used these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The manufacturer part # is B01LW2IPSR, search that to find a source local to you.
