Catless Downpipe Better With Muffler Delete or Res Delete

I just got a catless downpipe installed on my f30 330i and I have stage 1 bootmod and the pops aren't as loud as i want them to be, should i get a resonator delete or muffler delete to make them more obnoxious.

I have a muffler delete (3" all the way) with the stock res. Definitely will be loud if you crank up the aggressiveness. I have mine at no higher than 3, but did have it around 7 for a short while. If you want the bangs/gunshots/explosions you'd definitely have it.

Full exhaust, secondary deletes, and catless are the way to go. Valvetronic if you want to be able to put the car in neighbor friendly mode.

I posted the video in a few threads. Here it is in this one: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1676076

Are you catless? If you are it should be extremely loud, if not, your cat is most likely muffling this.

I will be going to an axel back shortly once the Megan is released through X-PH to go to dual tips. Too loud for me with the current setup especially from 2000-2500 RPMs.

I would say your secondary cat is reducing the noise and/or your Active Sound settings through BM3 may be disabled.

If you want it to be the loudest possible, you are going to have to straight pipe it all the way back after the downpipe. Any muffler shop can do this for you. They will straight pipe the secondary cat + resonator + no more muffler.

Otherwise you can get a cat back exhaust that doesn't have a resonator in it and you'll do the same but a tad quieter.

Consider a catless DP with a silencer. I've got one from RM motors. It's much quieter than the standard catless DP

It definitely does. That secondary cat is still a cat and will muffle the pops and crackles.

FI posted my video to their youtube. XD
