Hi guys, any issues when upgrading to the 10.25 touchscreen (obviously aside from fitting the screen).

I'm mostly talking about everyday things. Using navigation, touch feedback, using reverse or top down view, etc...

I want to make sure that if I do this, there aren't any downsides.

Thanks

Hey does anyone of you know, how I can retrofit my F80 2015 (ID4 I think?) to ID5 or ID6_light?

Ist ist just replace the unit an the display and coding? Or are there wires that need to be changed? I've read about something like that...

Coding is no problem. Just dunno what parts I really need to retrofit.

Thanks!

Perfect. I needed to change just that last line. Now I’m trying to figure out how to fit this display without cutting my dash.

Sorry to bring this thread back but I'm contemplating a hybrid solution and am hoping you guys can help.

I've got an F15 NBT non-touch screen 10.2 display. I got in on a joyeauto carplay unit which works flawlessly however having a non-touch screen means I have to mirror a lot from my phone.

I'm just wondering if I can do a straight swap of a newer F15 touchscreen (likely from the EVO) to this? I've tried finding pics of the connectors and they appear to be the same. I know the touch functions likely won't be recognized by the NBT HU but would the carplay unit recognize them? I've put this question towards the reseller and likely manufacturer in the future.

Before I go dropping some coin on a touch screen, I'm just trying to figure out if the non/touch are interchangable on the NBT head unit.

Cheers!

The voltages are different between nbt and nbt evo. You might want to use a non-touch display.

Thinking of using a G30 screen for my F36 retrofit, did you get around to doing this, would be interested to see how it all looks?
Thanks

It's been done but it does not fit without significant modification, is there a particular reason you want to use a G30 screen and not one that requires much less effort?

It looks a lot nicer than the F15 screen and is more readily available so was looking into whether it was possible. But if it needs a lot of modification then I might have to think about going with the F15 screen.

I'll give you that it is angular with sharper edges and does look nice. When I did the 10.25 touchscreen retrofit I just removed the chrome trim and painted it black, looks much better.

I must admit that definitely does look nice, I might actually have a look into that and do the same. The silver surround just doesn't look nice.

There's not a single chrome/silver bit of metal visible on my car (except the door pulls I guess) so it just looked way out of place. The backing of the screen comes off pretty easy and it's not hard to remove the silver trim after that, it just clips in.

Yes I am considering wrapping my interior, not sure what colour yet. Maybe carbon look.
Awesome thanks for the tip, will be giving it a go once I receive it. Will upload some pictures on I get a change to start my F36 build thread.

I am trying to install part number 8715335 10.25 display from a 2019 X3 on my 2018 X3 that came with the base 6.5 display.

I plugged it in, coded the following with bimmercode:

CID_RES to 1440
CID_Display size to 10.25
display_variante to breites

However I am getting no signal. Any ideas?

I know this is a while ago, but any success with getting a touch screen working?

Thank you for the link. It's the touch-screen part that I am wondering about. The original F-15 screens did not have them. Also wondering the same as "hlrzr" if the Android MMI unit is able to interface with the OEM screen's touch functionality.
