PDC Holder question M sport rear bumper

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of getting a m sport rear bumper fitted. My second hand OEM bumper came with three PDC holders instead of four. The inner two are 'normal' ones, the outer side ones have an extension. See picture below.

Holder with extension.

Empty PDC hole
  1. What is the purpose of the extension?
  2. Can I order only one PDC holder with extension instead of PDC kit?
  3. Can I use a 'normal' PDC holder from the non m sport at this position (51127312750, cheaper) or do I need the one with the extension (51128059970)?

I found my answer for question 1

The extension is a cable guide / mount.

Thanks in advance.

#2 No

#3 Sure you can do it. Will it last? Probably not. There is a reason BMW does it this way. If $25 is a problem, you chose the wrong car brand.

It is not about the money, just saying it is a cheaper option.

I was just wondering that the position on the m and non m sport are at the same position so why does the non m sport have different holders and is the cable slack not tied down?
