What Exhaust do I have?

I purchased my 18' 440i M Sport earlier this week and I'm noticed my exhaust looks different than normal.

Is this a factory option or aftermarket?

Most likely stock with only tips changed.

Can you post a close photo of where the tips connect to the outlet pipe.

Factory quad pipes are only designated for full M cars.

Looks like only aftermarket tips welded to the stock muffler.

Get rid of those exhaust tips

There is your answer right in the photos!
What an idiot..... (and if the previous owner is part of this community - I am not sorry!). Things like that is why people laugh at BMW owners.
Hope you don't find more of his work around/in the car.
get it fixed. This is horrible.

Upon closer inspection it looks like the previous owner cut out the rear diffuser to fit the exhaust tips.

Does anybody no the part number so that I can replace it?

I'm thinking of going with this one with the forged carbon tips.

Are you not still under warranty...?
Why not an original BMW part, like the M Performance Exhaust? Or another reputable brand.

The car has 1822 miles and I already tuned it with BM3 Stage 1. I have a catless Downpipe and CAI intake coming as well as I will be flashing stage 2 once I get those parts arrive.

So my warranty is all gone. Lol.

Cringe city. I'd recommend get the M-Performance tips which looks pretty nice and slick!

Go on eBay and buy an M performance rear diffuser. I just bought 2 and they both fit perfectly. Was $75 or so.
Don't do carbon fiber as it can interfere with your trunk comfort access kick.

Curious how you like the stg1 and thoughts on difference when you go stage 2.

That seems odd that someone would go through trouble of modifying exhaust tips and only put 1,800 miles on the car. Anyhow nice ride and good luck!

Stage one power is really nice. I work at a Ford Dealership and the same day I flashed my car, I appraised a 19 Mustang Gt w/ PP. The power delivery really reminded me of the way the 5.0 puts out.

I'll let you know once the parts are delivered and installed.
