Aodhan Aff7 Staggered Setup Questions

Hey guys. I have a few questions regarding these wheels that I want to jump on. I've always been a fan of the 763m style wheels so after some digging in the forums, i saw someone post about these Aodhan wheels. Im looking to pull the trigger on these:

Aodhan AFF7 19x8.5/9.5 +35 (bronze)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/19x8-5-19x9....c100005.m1851

Update:

Wheels are cheaper by buying them directly from the Aodhan website. Use code SAVE20 to get 20% off!

My questions

1. Would running the stock tires i have on my 403M be ok? Since they barely have over 1000 miles on them and I am not running something so aggressive, I am assuming theyll be ok. Feedback on this would be appreciated

2. Is anyone running these wheels or something similar and rubbing with a dropped car? I would install these the same day i get my suspension installed (ST XA coils). Any need to roll fenders?

3. Do I need to buy extended lug bolts for these wheels since they are wider?

4. Anyone have personal experience with these wheels? Pics are definitely welcomed (bronze highly preferred since i am going that route)!

Here is a recent thread about these wheels with pics. I'm 99% certain that you won't need to change lug bolts unless you plan on running spacers which shouldn't be necessary for this set up anyway.

Thanks for the reply. I saw this thread but the tire sizes are different since he is on a GT. The 403m run 225/40 for the front and 255/35 for the rear. The tires on that car are 225/45 and 255/40. Not sure how much of a difference itll make in regards to the "stretch." Im assuming since he ran slightly thicker tires it helped minimize some stretch

Thanks for letting me know about the lug bolts though. I dont plan on running spacers since the wheels are already a good fitment

You can fit them, but they will be slightly stretched. While 235-245 front and 265-275 rear would be better (no stretch, better grip, better rim protection), no major issues with your stock tires.

The rears with 19x9.5/ET35 are pretty aggressive. The wheels will stick out a full inch compared to your oem wheels. I suggest searching the forum to see the fitment on other cars.

No. Just double-check the wheels are made for factory bolt seats.

Aggressive? While they are definitely wider compared to stock, I've seen that this is a pretty common upgrade when going to bigger wheels without it being crazy. My question was more geared towards it being "wide enough" where it may rub the fender enough to need to roll them. I dont think i am no where near the area where i need to negatively camber because theyre too wide tho

Sure. Personally, I consider ET42 as flush offset for the rear 19x9.5". ET35 definitely poke a bit. Still, your desired setup is reported as no rubbing, when lowered. See: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...4&postcount=14

I am the OP of that thread. IMO you have nothing to worry about when it comes to rubbing. Although curious as to know what sort of suspension you're running.

I've driven 3000+ miles on these already and haven't had a single instance of rubbing or scraping. Also handled their share of potholes and bumps w/o any issue. Here are some pics of the car lowered on Eibach xDrive springs and Bilstein B8 shocks:

OP: just keep in mind the F34 is a different (much larger) car than other F models. If I am not mistaken, the oem staggered for F34 are 225/45 19x8" ET30 & 255/40 19x9" ET42. The other F models come with 225/40 19x8 ET36 & 255/35 19x8.5" ET47.

Thanks for the info. I remember coming across this thread a while ago. Fitment looks good and exactly what i am going for. Good to see how the tires would look like too since he is running 255/35

Looks good! Ill be running fully adjustable ST XA coilovers. I wont be going super low. Most likely will have a similar drop to yours. However, like a previous user said, you have a bigger car so the wheels aren’t aggressive enough to cause any rubbing which is probably why you haven’t experienced it. Thanks for your feedback!

Torquey Quick question about these wheels and your center caps. The website shows the center bore being a tiny bit larger than 72.56mm. I can't tell from the pictures, but it looks like you have OEM BMW caps. Did you use a ring or anything to make those fit? I really like these wheels and am considering them.

You need 60mm center caps. You can go on Etsy and buy them there

Wait really? I was actually gonna ask you this younggunz88 when I saw the post of your car the first time.

When I click on the 5x120 18x9.5 et30s from Fitment Industries it says the hub bore is 72.60mm. Am I confused?

I also wish they made an 18x9... nervous to go 9.5 all around - I know people have told me they will fit. I don't want any stretch, would prefer a more meaty look, so maybe I need to do 8.5.

Hub bore and the center cap are 2 different things. 100% they are 60mm center caps. Also, 9.5 isnt a big deal. This is how my car looks with the wheels on and dropped on coils. No rubbing at all. Not even with 5 ppl in the car and doing hard turns in an empty parking lot.

Edit:

Just realized you were the person who replied to me in the other thread. I strongly suggest you go the route i went since it sounds like you have the same concerns i had when i was researching how to drop my car and what wheels to put on. If you go the way i did, i guarantee you will be satisfied.

ST-XA Coils for suspension at level 8 dampening
Staggered setup on these Aodhan wheels
225/40 in the front. 255/35 in the rear. There is no stretch on the tires.

The centerbore on these (5x120) is definitely the right size for any modern era BMW prior to G20. Don't worry about the .56/.60 discrepancy... they fit nice and snug. No vibration at all for me.

For the centercaps... just get any cheap aftermarket 60mm BMW centercap set from eBay or Amazon.

I just got the AODHAN AFF7 for my 340i

have you used the HUB Centric rings to fit these wheels on your car?

and i am running 235/35/19 in the front and 275/30/19 in the back, so will i have any problems with these tire sizes?

They are direct bolt on. No need to run hub centric rings.

You may rub in the back if you dont roll your fenders with those tires
